Rahul Gandhi fires fresh salvo at Modi govt over jobs, prices; asks people to wake up
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday hit out at the BJP-led Centre while claiming that people in the country were not getting employment and were facing the wrath of inflation. Addressing a gathering in Chhattisgarh's Korba district during his 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra', Gandhi asked the people to wake up, claiming their pockets were being robbed and they were being misled. The backward classes, Dalits and Adivasis (tribals) comprise 74 per cent of the country's population, but not a single person from these communities is the owner or in the management of India's top 200 companies which are being given «all the money of the country», he claimed. The BJP calls it a «Hindu Rashtra», but 74 per cent of the population and the poor from the general country have been getting nothing. They are only for beating «thali» (steel plate), ringing «ghanta» (bell), showing mobile phones and dying in hunger, he further claimed targeting the Centre.

Automakers seek extension of investment deadline under PLI scheme
₹25,938-crore production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for the sector have sought clarification on whether the investment timeline has been extended in line with the one-year extension of the scheme, according to industry executives. To align with the extended incentive disbursement period, companies have urged the government to also extend the investment timeline of the scheme by a year. Spectrum worth ₹5.45 lakh cr may be freed for 5G-6G
Department of Telecommunications (DoT) is looking to unlock about ₹5.45 lakh crore worth of spectrum for 5G and 6G needs through refarming or repurposing of existing frequencies, particularly in the mid-band or 3-6 GHz range, said officials familiar with the matter. «We are looking to make available additional spectrum for mobile use in the coming five years,» said one of the officials, who did not wish to be identified. The DoT believes there is a need to provide more airwaves, especially in mid-band, for upgradation of 5G technology and introduction of 6G, which is expected to be launched by 2030. Most of the spectrum is currently being utilised by domestic legacy users such as defence forces and satellites, which may be shifted to different frequencies.
