Nokia sees demand for equipment to be substantial in 2024-25, a senior company official said. The proliferation of fixed wireless access network will usher the Indian telecom sector into the second phase of 5G network deployment, Nokia India head of mobile networks business Tarun Chhabra said at the India Mobile Congress. «India's requirement is still going to be substantial in 2024-25, then our factories will be fully loaded with India plus some exports,» Chhabra said. Castrol India on Monday posted profit for the quarter ended September 2023 at Rs 194.42 crore, up 3.9 per cent in comparison to Rs 187.17 crore during the same period last year. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 1182.92 crore, up 5.5 per cent as against Rs 1121.07 crore during the third quarter of FY23. The company EBITDA stood at Rs 268.6 crore, up 4.4 per cent on-year. EBITDA margin, meanwhile, was at 22.7 per cent versus 22.9 per cent last year. The company follows the calendar year (January to December) for its financial reporting.

Pension regulator PFRDA has made ‘penny drop’ verification mandatory for the withdrawal of funds by subscribers of the National Pension System (NPS) to ensure the timely transfer of money. Through the ‘penny drop’ process, Central Recordkeeping Agencies (CRAs) check the active status of the savings bank account and match the name in the bank account number with the name in PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number) or as per the documents submitted.

Airtel Africa which operates in 14 African countries has reported an 8.8 per cent year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit at USD 138 million in the fiscal's second quarter ended September 2023. The profit after tax stood at USD 152 million in the year-ago period, according to a release by the company which provides telecommunications and mobile money services. Airtel Africa's revenue for the quarter ended September 2023 came in at USD 1,246 million.
