gang that allegedly changed the IMEIs — the unique identifiers of a handset — of stolen mobiles and arrested three individuals, reported TOI. The gang was active in west Delhi and aided several snatchers and mobile thieves, police said. The accused, identified as Narabjeet Singh (26), Manish Singh (23) and Gurmeet Singh (32), are residents of Tilak Nagar. Police seized 79 stolen phones along with a laptop containing software and other evidence from the suspects.

Internet suspension in Manipur's Churachandpur extended till February 26
Manipur government on Wednesday extended the suspension of internet services in Churachandpur district for five days in view of the prevailing law and order situation in the district, following violence over an action taken against a policeman. A home department order, issued by Chief Secretary Vineet Joshi, said, «The state government after reviewing the prevailing law and order situation in Churachandpur district decided to continue suspension of internet services and services through VPN throughout the whole revenue jurisdiction of Churachandpur district.» Mobile service providers are also directed to ensure compliance with the order, it said. The government had first imposed a temporary suspension on internet services on February 16.

Bengaluru has more reasons to cheer for. The Silicon Valley of India is set to get more public charging stations soon. As per reports, Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has awarded a tender to Reliance BP Mobility Limited for settin up of 225 public charging stations across Bengaluru. As per the tender, 150 charging spots will be in Bengaluru city while 75 in Bengaluru rural. “We had awarded the tender for setting up the charging infrastructure to Reliance BP Mobility Limited in October. They have agreed to set up 150 charging stations in Bengaluru city and 75 in Bengaluru rural. Currently, a survey is ongoing to identify the land for setting up the infrastructure. Once the survey is completed, they will sign a 10-year lease contract with the land owing agency. Reliance will call the bid for INR 2.19 per unit,” a senior BESCOM official was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
