However, it was cancelled just after three seasons due to dwindling viewership. In June 2021, Deadline revealed that NBC had opted not to continue the drama series for a fourth season. Despite a strong start with respectable ratings when it first aired, the show's audience steadily dwindled over time, with a notable drop in viewership during its third season. However, in August 2021, Netflix acquired the rights to the series and approved a fourth season.
