Small-cap funds started gaining momentum in March after they delivered eye-popping returns to existing investors .

Macrotech Developers Ltd (Lodha) impressed the Street with its robust pre-sales or bookings for the June quarter (Q1FY24). Bookings grew by 17% year-on-year to ₹3,353 crore, also the highest Q1 number delivered by the company. Lodha has now achieved 23% of its FY24 pre-sales guidance of ₹14,500 crore in the first quarter.

Mumbai: Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), on Tuesday, said the renewables energy firm is planning to raise up to Rs. 12,300 crore.  Following a board meeting, the company said it will raise the capital via qualified institutional placement (QIP) or any other eligible securities, according to an exchange filing.  The amount of funds to be raised will be subject to regulatory and statutory approvals, as well as the approval of AGEL's shareholders by way of postal ballot process, said the filing.  Following the announcement, shares of Adani Green rose as much as 2.6% to ₹972.9 apiece on an intraday basis before ending at ₹958 apiece.   Adani Green has a market capitalization of ₹1.52 trillion but, over the past year, the company’s stock has lost 50%, even though the broader market index Nifty 50 gained at least 22%.  On 23 May, Mint first reported that Adani Green Energy Ltd is in talks with global fund managers to raise ₹5,000-6,000 crore as India’s largest renewables company revives its capex plans four months after the Hindenburg setback.  The fund raising will include sale of new shares, as well as promoter shares worth 3-4% held by Adani family entities including group founder Gautam S.

₹2,641 crore, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) sold shares worth a net amount of ₹2,351 crore. Moving into July till date, FIIs continued to show interest in the Indian market by buying shares worth a net amount of ₹8,374.55 crore, while DIIs sold equities worth a net amount of ₹3,913.95 crore. Axis Bank and Adani Enterprises — will turn ex-dividend on July 7. Axis Bank had earlier announced a final dividend of Rs 1 per share, which is 50% of the face value for the financial year ending March 2023. The company has set July 7 as the record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders.

Indian equities hit a 10-month high of ₹45,286 crore in June, according to data from the National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL). Over three-fourths of the purchase, aggregating ₹34,025 crore, occurred in the second half of June, propelling domestic benchmarks Sensex and Nifty to record highs by the end of the month. Both the Nifty 50 and the S&P BSE Sensex rose more than three per cent last month.

Essen Speciality Fil, Greenchef Appliances, AGC Networks and Ceat, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE. Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 98.8 points up at 19497.3 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, JBM Auto(down 12.96 per cent), Vedant Asset(down 10.00 per cent), Arcee Ind(down 9.89 per cent), Earum Pharmaceutical(down 9.88 per cent) and Chambal Brewer(down 9.35 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade. In the Nifty pack, 35 stocks closed in the green, while 15 stocks ended in the red.

Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 3.83 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 3.76 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.81 per cent), DLF(up 2.78 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(up 2.58 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 0.47 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.37 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

Shares of AU Small Finance Bank(up 2.7 per cent), Bandhan Bank(up 2.56 per cent), Federal Bank(up 1.58 per cent), Axis Bank(up 1.5 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(up 0.68 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, IndusInd Bank(down 0.67 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty index settled 0.05% higher at 19,398.50, while the S&P BSE Sensex fell 0.05% to 65,446.04. Both the indexes had hit all-time highs at each of the four previous sessions.
