Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 2.25%
Shares of Indiabulls Real Estate(up 3.83 per cent), Macrotech Developers(up 3.76 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 2.81 per cent), DLF(up 2.78 per cent) and Prestige Estates Projects(up 2.58 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 0.47 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(down 0.37 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Realty index closed 2.25 per cent up at 537.75. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 98.8 points at 19497.3, while the BSE Sensex stood up 339.6 points at 65785.64.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in the green, while 15 closed in the red. Shares of Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, YES Bank, Bank of Maharashtra and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
