LTIMindtree Ltd(up 0.89 per cent), Coforge(up 0.88 per cent), Wipro(up 0.69 per cent), L&T Technology(up 0.65 per cent) and Infosys(up 0.61 per cent) were among the top gainers. MPhasis(down 0.68 per cent) and Persistent Systems(down 0.23 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.47 per cent at 29901.65 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 129.15 points at 19809.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 479.12 points at 66834.83.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were trading in the green, while 8 were in the red. Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
