Nifty ended Thursday’s weekly expiry 159 points lower to form a long bear candle with an unfulfilled opening down gap on the daily chart. UPS FIVE Entertainment Strategy NIFTY performer 6 fund categories to go for in terms of market cap allocation in 2023
Feroze Azeez, Deputy CEO, Anand Rathi Pvt Wealth, says “the implied exposure should be at least 50-55% in largecaps, 20% in midcaps and about 25% in smallcaps. On January 2, 2023, we realized that smallcap is going to go through a huge price or PE re-rating. So, in terms of market cap allocation, the funds which one should choose from should be in multi-cap category, large cap category, contra, dividend yield and flexi cap. These are the five categories one should focus on. The one other category could be a focused fund which is SBI Contra. Don’t get into sectoral bets, especially in a year preceding a general election.”Can you give an overview on what kind of strategies on a broader level have worked for what kind of funds?Yes, there are several strategies which have worked while some have not worked in different periods of time.

Lowe's economy NIFTY Experts recommendations recovery Fed meeting: Can a hawkish US central bank derail the recovery in the IT stocks?
Nifty IT index has been in the green since May this year on a monthly basis but concerns are growing that if interest rates in the US stay high for a longer than expected period, it will impact the Indian IT stocks. An aggressive Fed is bad news for economic growth in the US and a weakness in the US economy is bad news for Indian IT companies because of their high exposure to the US market. Even though the US Fed maintained a pause on interest rate hikes, on expected lines, its hawkish tone appears to have spooked markets and the Nifty 50 suffered a loss of almost a per cent in intraday trade on Thursday.

UPS Digital Enterprise NIFTY recommendations 2 top stock recommendations from Rahul Sharma
«As far as the banking index is concerned that index is already at the support area of 45000 so on the closing basis something which we should look at because the kind of volatility that we have seen in the last few days it has been quite fast,» says Rahul Sharma, JM Financial Services.Just wanted to begin by discussing the market texture with you because after that 20200 level we have suddenly slipped down all the way to 19750, what do you make of this, is it just the weekly options expiry move or this was the consolidation that the markets needed? There are two sides to every market move, so the good side is the correction is happening fast. The bad side is the correction is pretty steep in terms of number of points but that is something that we can expect considering the way we moved from 19200 odd to 20200. Now the crux of the whole situation is the entire bullish setup should remain intact as long as we do not breach 19600 on a closing basis. So like you said it could be an expiry related over reaction on the downside but my sense is we should be looking at cherry-picking some of the stocks and sectors which standout in spite of the broader market fall.

UPS NASDAQ NIFTY SENSEX show Sensex down 1,600 points in 3 days; Rs 4 lakh crore loss. 7 factors behind the selloff
Sensex lost 242 points on Monday, 796 points on Wednesday and over 600 points on Thursday, taking the total loss to 1532 points this week. The market was shut on Tuesday to mark Ganesh Chaturthi festival. In the meantime, the market capitalisation of all companies listed on BSE has also fallen to Rs 319.5 lakh crore, taking the total investor wealth erosion to Rs 3.9 lakh crore. Last night, the US Federal Reserve didn't opt for an interest rate hike but projected one more 25-basis-point rate hike this year and 50 bps of rate cuts in 2024, versus 100 bps of 2024 cuts in June projections. The markets are likely to remain under pressure till they adjust and digest the fact that interest rates are actually not going down in a hurry. «We believe that high-interest rates are not good for the markets.
