Shekhawat said this while replying to a suggestion by BJP MP Sambit Patra to take the initiative to include Puri's Jagannath Rath Yatra in the UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Shekhawat said it was a good suggestion given by Patra. The six new sites were added to the list on March 7, the Permanent Delegation of India to UNESCO said in a statement. Addition to the World Heritage Centre's tentative list is mandatory if a property is to be nominated for inscription to the World Heritage List in future.
