Addressing a rally in Sambhal, Yadav also said the Samajwadi Party had an advantage in the third phase, saying that elections on May 7 will be held between Sambhal and «his home» in Etawah and Mainpuri. «BJP people did not know the direction of the wind, so they kept saying '400 paar' (winning over 400 seats) and when they realised the public sentiment after the two phases of the election, BJP forgot its slogan,» the former UP chief minister said. «The wind that came from the west (western UP) in the first phase will change the BJP government. The similar trend was seen in the second phase also. People are not accepting the BJP,» the SP chief said.

NCLAT has rejected SBI's pleas opposing the liquidation value of ITPCL provided by the debt-ridden firm's lead banker PNB and said the country's largest lender cannot «wriggle out» the debt restructuring process of the IL&FS group's thermal power company. The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has dismissed all three applications moved by SBI and said it does «not find any error in fixing the liquidation value as of 30.09.2018» of IL&FS Tamil Nadu Power Company Ltd (ITPCL). The appellate tribunal observed that as per the RBI circular, an Inter-Creditor Agreement has been entered between the lenders.

AU Small Finance Bank is targeting to double its balance sheet size to Rs 2.5 lakh crore in three years, helped by the acquisition of Fincare SFB and the growing consumption trend in the country. The bank started its business in 2017, with a balance sheet size of Rs 10,000 crore, which has now crossed Rs 1.25 lakh crore. Pakistan's Cabinet has relaxed rules to hire foreign consultancy firms to make up for 'unskilled' bureaucrats and speed up official efforts to bring investment for various projects in the cash-strapped country from the Gulf and other nations, according to a media report.
