Reliance Jio has announced a special price reduction for its 'JioBharat' 4G phones, lowering the price from Rs 999 to Rs 699 for a limited time. In this limited-period offer, JioBharat 4G phones now priced at Rs 999 will be available to all users for only Rs 699, said the Ambani-owned company in a press release. As per the company, when compared with the lowest feature phone plan available with other operators (Rs 199 / month), the JioBharat plan is almost 40% cheaper and provides Rs 76 savings every month.

Texas man has been arrested for allegedly murdering a coworker he was obsessed with, citing her frequent breaks as the reason behind his actions. The incident occurred at an Allegiance Trucks office in Lewisville, about 30 miles north of Dallas. Travis Merrill, 51, was taken into custody for reportedly shooting and killing his coworker, Tamhara Collazo, at her desk on Thursday. Police stated that Merrill opened fire after Collazo returned from a lunch break. She was transported to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries. «She re-entered after lunch, he followed her inside to her cubicle and ‘ambushed’ her, firing the gun several times,» FOX 4 Dallas reported.

Punjab Police has suspended seven personnel, including two deputy superintendent rank officers, in connection with an interview of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi while in police custody. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the state police, led by the special director general of police (human rights), found that one interview of Bishnoi was conducted when he was in Punjab Police's custody in Mohali's Kharar while the second was done in Rajasthan.
