Later in the evening, Ashok Kumar Singh, the in-charge of Nati Imli police outpost, was suspended without a stated reason, according to Varanasi Commissionerate.

CDPQ to buy Ashoka's BOT toll road assets for Rs 4,500 crore
CDPQ is set to acquire five build-operate-transfer (BOT) toll road assets of Ashoka Concessions, a subsidiary of highway builder Ashoka Buildcon, for an enterprise value of ₹4,500 crore, said people aware of the matter. The deal will be signed this week, the people said, adding the assets will be bought by CDPQ through its infrastructure trust-Indian Highway Concession Trust (IHCT).

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL)-owned Viacom18 and Walt Disney's Star India are expected to complete their merger by the third quarter of this financial year, pending additional approvals, according to a regulatory filing from Reliance Industries Limiter (RIL). In its quarterly report, RIL noted that Viacom18 and Star India have already received conditional approval from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for their proposed merger. Angel One on Monday reported a consolidated net profit at Rs 423 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2024, which was up 39% from Rs 304 crore reported by the company in the year ago period.
