Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister and well-known leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has sent shockwaves through the Indian film industry. Siddique had cultivated friendships with numerous Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Shilpa Shetty.
The authorities are now investigating the involvement of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously issued threats against Khan. Reports by the Indian Express suggest that the gang has claimed responsibility for Siddique’s killing.
This alarming incident is not isolated, as the Bishnoi gang has a history of targeting high-profile individuals in the entertainment sector.
Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar has previously stated that the gang was involved in the assassination of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, claiming it was an act of revenge for the murder of their associate, Vikramjit Singh. The NIA has reportedly accessed a hit list provided by Lawrence Bishnoi during his interrogation, revealing that several notable figures are at risk.
