'We are all going to hell': California man arrested for chaos in Frontier Airlines flight, faces 20 years jail time
California has been arrested for causing a disturbance on a Frontier Airlines flight bound for San Francisco. Charles Angel Salva, aged 30, may face up to 20 years in federal prison. He assaulted the crew and threatened to kill everyone onboard. This incident reportedly occurred earlier this month. Federal prosecutors revealed that Salva tampered with the oxygen masks in the overhead compartments. A witness mentioned that Salva seemed out of breath and wanted to get off the plane. When he pulled down the oxygen masks, his hand got stuck, and a fellow passenger helped him. Salva then verbally abused a flight attendant, saying, «This airplane is going down, we are all going to hell.» Panic erupted when Salva grabbed a fellow passenger and ran to the back of the plane. He tried to choke a flight attendant, leaving marks on her neck, and threatened to kill everyone on the flight.

Siddaramaiah built house on site allotted to Dalit with disability, alleges Kumaraswamy
Kumaraswamy on Saturday accused Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of building a house illegally on a site allotted to a Dalit with a disability during his tenure as the deputy chief minister. He said the allegations against the CM regarding illegalities in the allotment of 14 sites to his wife in a layout by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), in connection with which the Governor has given approval for investigation against him, were not the only ones committed by Siddaramaiah in Mysuru. "....haven't we now seen what he has done for the farmers? Are we not seeing (developments) in Mysuru (referring to MUDA site allotment scam)? Let these15 sites (14 actually) be there on one side. As the Deputy CM, he had built a house. On whose land did you build the house. Do you want records of it? I'm asking the chief minister," Kumaraswamy said.

Firefighters needed 190,000 litres of water to douse a Tesla battery burning at 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit
Tesla Semi’s lithium-ion battery, resulting from a crash, required around 50,000 gallons or about 190,000 litres of water to extinguish. The incident took place on August 19 and is being investigated by the US's National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). According to the NTSB's preliminary report, the battery reached temperatures of 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. As a safety measure, firefighters also used an aircraft to drop fire retardant around the truck. The crash occurred near Interstate 80 at Emigrant Gap, approximately 70 miles northeast of Sacramento. NTSB investigators examined the fire risks linked to the truck's large battery. They confirmed that the truck was not operating on Tesla's partially automated driving systems, which «could not be engaged.»

That’s what I say. Good idea?” Biden replied, showing irritation. The reporter continued, prompting Biden to respond, “You’ve got to be quiet. I’m going to make a statement here, okay?” After the brief introductory statements by Biden and Starmer, the reporter again asked about Putin. In response, Biden remarked, “I don’t think much about Vladimir Putin.”

"The way FM handled it is shameful": Tamil Nadu CM Stalin lashes out at Sitharaman after row over hotelier's GST quip
Nirmala Sitharaman over a row triggered after the owner of a restaurant chain in Coimbatore reportedly apologised to the Union Finance Minister for his remarks on Goods and Services Tax stating that the BJP leader handled the situation in a «shameful manner.» At an event in Coimbatore attended by Sitharaman, the owner of Sri Annapoorna restaurant had in a jocular way referred to the varying GST rates levied on food items. «Madam, a bun doesn't attract GST, but when cream is applied to make it a cream bun, it attracts 12 per cent GST. Customers now say, 'You bring the bun and cream separately, and I'll make the cream bun,'» Srinivasan told the minister evoking laughter from the crowd. The hotelier, also attempting to inject humour in his remarks referred to how even the hotel's computer system struggles to calculate the various tax rates when families order a variety of items and urged the Union Finance Minister to simplify the GST structure for food, suggesting a uniform rate for all items.
