What did Taylor Swift swallow that she coughed on stage during Eras Tour? This is what happened
Eras Tour, Taylor Swift had an unexpected moment when she swallowed a bug by mistake while on stage. It happened on Saturday, July 13, in Milan, while she was singing «I Almost Do» and playing the piano. She started coughing shortly after the song began and told the crowd that she needed some time to gather herself, as per the reports of 'The Mirror'. She asked for a moment to cough and said she expected it to happen because there were so many bugs that night. She recovered from the event and continued her act after clearing her throat. She had already dealt with a similar peculiar difficulty while performing live in Chicago and London. This wasn't the first time she faced it.

G20 Panel on digital public infrastructure bats for global plug & play use
G20 task force on digital public infrastructure (DPI) has suggested that countries use plug-and-play models to deploy certain DPI while ensuring their sovereignty and data ownership, exhorting them to make their existing infrastructure universally applicable for common good. Releasing the task force's report on Monday, India's G20 sherpa Amitabh Kant said the country's fast-growing DPI has enabled it to achieve in nine years what would have taken it 50 years to realise without the DPI. India's push for interoperable DPI during its G20 presidency last year had faced resistance from developed countries, who feared it could undermine the growth of global private payments entities. The plug-and-play method mooted by the task force appears to be aimed at addressing this fear.

Working on investment to support workers who would lose jobs at UK unit: Tata's N Chandrasekaran
Tata Steel is working with the UK government and unions to ensure an adequate level of investment for supporting skill development of workers who would be impacted due to the modernisation of its Port Talbot plant, according to the company's chairman N Chandrasekaran. As part of its decarbonisation plan, Tata Steel is shifting to a low-emission electric arc furnace (EAF) process from an ageing blast furnace at Port Talbot mill, resulting in job losses of around 2,500 people. Addressing the 117th Annual General Meeting of Tata Steel on Monday, Chandrasekaran said that the company recognises that this transformation is difficult from an execution perspective and also difficult for some of the employees who will not have a future with Tata Steel, especially in the UK. «The company is working with the government and with the unions to make sure that we do sufficient level of investment to be able to support them in their skill development so they can have a better future.

India needs robust security measures to safeguard wind sector from cyber threats
Niti Aayog has said. Niti Aayog, in a report titled 'Domestic Manufacturing Capacity & Potential Cyber Security Challenges in the Wind Sector and Way Forward', said wind turbines' capability to exchange information through power plant controllers (PPC) poses a significant cybersecurity threat. «The PPC software is of critical importance and associated with risks — used in the device which connects the wind farm directly to the national/state grid. »PPC OEMs of foreign origin, especially neighbouring countries, need to be examined, and a call needs to be taken for their suspension while not adhering to the protocol," it said.

Proposal to increase customs duty to 20% on agrochemicals will hurt interests of farmers: Report
CropLife India, which describes itself as an association of 17 R&D driven crop science companies, has claimed in a media release that a proposal towards enhancement of customs duty on agrochemical formulations to 20%; would hurt the interests of the farmers of the country, in terms of higher costs of farming and non-availability of the newer products. «The idea of doubling customs duty was being proposed based on ‘misinformation’; in the last couple of months, about the “huge” formulation imports in the country. However, the actual data of import proves otherwise,» said Croplife in the release. Durgesh Chandra, Secretary General, CropLife Indiasaid,“Imported Formulations hardly constitute 20% of total imports of agrochemicals in India. Theproposal to increase custom duty on formulations will set the wrong precedent, signal uncertainty in ease of doing business, will question the stability of Indian policies and send out wrong signals for both foreign and Indian investment in this sector; apart from not achieving any significant financial benefit for the exchequer”.

Delhi HC permits woman to medically terminate 32-week pregnancy
Delhi High Court has allowed a 31-year-old woman to undergo medical termination of her pregnancy of over 32 weeks due to the foetus's abnormalities, which posed a substantial risk of physical and mental handicap. Justice Sanjeev Narula, allowing the woman's plea seeking permission to undergo an abortion, said the continuation of the pregnancy poses a significant risk to the petitioner's physical and mental health and is likely to result in the birth of a child with severe health issues. The judge, following a report given by the doctors of AIIMS, concluded that permitting the termination of the pregnancy was in the best interest of both the petitioner and the foetus. «In the opinion of the court, the diagnosis in the present case clearly qualifies as substantial foetal abnormality with substantial risk of physical and mental handicap,» the court said in its order passed on July 13.

At least 33 major health insurance companies join govt's centralised claims-related info exchange
health insurance companies in India, at least 33 have joined the National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX), a centralized platform developed by the government for the exchange of insurance claims-related information, ToI reported on July 15. This new system aims to expedite the insurance claims process and make it more transparent, with real-time access to claims settlement status by the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India (IRDAI). Citizens will also be able to monitor their insurance claim status through their mobile devices, the report (by Durgesh Nandan Jha) said. Currently, insurance claims are processed through multiple platforms, leading to delays. The implementation of NHCX will streamline this process. According to government sources, some companies have already started trialing the NHCX for claims processing, with an official launch expected soon. A senior official of the National Health Authority (NHA), which developed the centralized platform, elucidated, «Citizens will also be able to see the status of their insurance claim through the mobile.»
