Max Verstappen 'frustrated' as Red Bull decides to sack Liam Lawson after two F1 races
Liam Lawson's first Formula One season with Red Bull is coming to an end on a disappointing note after just two races. New Zealand’s Lawson is facing the axe after a disappointing show in the 2025 season opening Australian Formula One at Melbourne and the Chinese GP in Shanghai. The decision by Red Bull management to replace Lawson with Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda has not gone down well in New Zealand as well as the current F1 world champion Max Verstappen. The latter is also the Red Bull flagbearer and Lawson's teammate on the F1 Grand Prix circuit. Verstappen is reported to be frustrated by Red Bull deciding to sack Lawson after only two races. He stated that Racing Bulls, the feeder of Red Bull where Lawson used to race before his elevation, cars are easier to drive. “That Racing Bulls car is easier to drive than ours. I notice that when I talk to Liam. Last year the difference between him and Yuki wasn't that big, I thought. Otherwise the team wouldn't have made the choice to put Liam in at Red Bull,” said the F1 world champion. New Zealand Minister for Sport Mark Mitchell jumped into the controversy backing Lawson. “I'm disappointed if he isn't racing in the Red Bull, but I'm really excited that if he's at least back in the Racing Bull, that he can go and show everyone what he's capable of," he told New Zealand media.

Fortunes turning? Adani stocks surge by Rs 40,000 cr in 15 days, making Gautam Adani India’s top wealth gainer
Adani Group stocks have been on a strong upward run, adding nearly Rs 40,000 crore in market capitalization over the past 15 days. Except for Adani Enterprises, all group stocks ended higher on Thursday, coinciding with a significant boost for the company as Chairman Gautam Adani emerged as the top Indian wealth gainer in the Hurun World Rich List. Adani, whose wealth surged by around Rs 1 lakh crore, still lagged Mukesh Ambani, who claimed the title of Asia's wealthiest. However, Ambani dropped out of the world's top 10 wealthiest list, following a hit to his fortunes due to the poor performance of RIL. Gautam Adani's fortune grew by 13% in 2024, enabling him to rank among the top three in India.

Donald Trump had a hilarious exchange with a reporter wearing a mask. While speaking to the press in the Oval Office, President Trump drew attention to a journalist wearing a mask. The reporter asked Trump a question about California, to which he responded: «You know, I haven't seen a mask in so long, you're wearing a mask!» He sarcastically added, «That's so nice of you. I haven't seen anybody wearing a mask in a long time, it's good. You feel more comfortable right, good, that's good.» The exchange came as Trump signed a new executive order imposing 25 per cent tariffs on imports of automobiles and certain auto parts. Trump indicated this was to end unfair trade practices and protect the United States’ national security.

Bangladesh's Yunus plans to sign slew of MoUs during China trip to boost sagging economy
Muhammad Yunus is due in China on Wednesday at the start of a four-day visit during which he is expected to seek financial support and sign MoUs to boost his country’s sagging economy amid dwindling support from the US under President Donald Trump. India will keep a close watch if Yunus agrees to any Chinese military presence particularly in any airfield closer to the border area. Additional Chinese support for Bangladesh armed forces and any enhanced Chinese military presence in the Bay of Bengal will also be closely monitored, according to Bangladesh watchers. Yunus will attend the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2025 in Boao, Hainan province, and hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on March 28. Boosting economic relations with China will be a central focus of this visit, sources in Dhaka said. Yunus will later speak at Peking University, where he will reportedly be presented with an honorary doctorate. China, while engaged with Dhaka under the Hasina government and earlier with the BNP regime, is keen to keep Yunus in good humour for its economic and strategic interests in the Bay of Bengal region. As per a report in Bangladesh’s leading English newspaper The Daily Star, China and Bangladesh are planning to sign at least eight MoUs on trade, culture, upgrading Mongla Port and water management. The Sheikh Hasina government had given India access to the Mongla Port.
