What's wrong with Nvidia-backed cloud services provider? Report claims CoreWeave plans to reduce US IPO
CoreWeave plans to reduce the size of its U.S. initial public offering and price the shares below range, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters on Thursday, as per a report. The Nvidia-backed cloud services provider is now looking to sell 37.5 million shares and price them below the range at $40 apiece, the source added, requesting anonymity discussing confidential information. The sale would fetch up to $1.5 billion, Reuters reported. The listing is being closely watched as a test for the fragile U.S. IPO market and a gauge of whether investor enthusiasm for AI newcomers remains strong or is waning. CoreWeave and some existing investors had initially aimed to sell 49 million shares in the offering priced between $47 and $55 each to raise as much as $2.7 billion. The company did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment.

Some Ferrari cars to get costlier by 10% in the US, thanks to Trump's 25% auto tariffs
US auto tariffs, the luxury carmaker said. Ferrari said it would stick largely to its financial targets for this year, according to a report in news agency Reuters. The new levies on cars and light trucks will take effect on April 3. Ferrari announced that pricing for models imported before April 2 will remain unchanged. However, starting from that date, “new import conditions will be partially reflected in pricing,” with increases of up to 10%. This means the Maranello, Italy-based automaker will absorb part of the 25% tariff hike introduced by Trump on Wednesday. «The commercial terms will remain unchanged for orders of all models imported before April 2, 2025, and for orders of the following three families — Ferrari 296, SF90 and Roma — regardless the import date. For the current remaining models, the new import conditions will be partially reflected on pricing, up to a maximum 10 per cent increase,» the company said in a statement. Why does China’s TikTok matter so much to Donald Trump?
Trump is doing all he can to save TikTok, the hugely popular video-sharing app owned by Chinese Internet company ByteDance. It's unusual because not long ago Trump had wanted to ban it. In a desperate bid to make TikTok American, he said on Wednesday he would be willing to reduce tariffs on China if it allows ByteDance to sell the app to an American buyer. However, AFP has reported that China has rebuffed Trump's offer, with its foreign ministry saying that it has «repeatedly stated our position» on TikTok. «The Chinese side's stance against imposing additional tariffs is also consistent and clear,» foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said. A US law during the Biden administration ordered TikTok to divest from its Chinese owner ByteDance or be banned in the US, enacted over concerns that Beijing could exploit the video-sharing platform to spy on Americans or covertly influence US public opinion. The law took effect on January 19, a day before Trump's inauguration. TikTok temporarily shut down in the US and disappeared from app stores as the deadline for the law approached, to the dismay of millions of users. Trump suspended its implementation for two-and-a-half months after beginning his second term on January 20, seeking a solution with Beijing. TikTok subsequently restored service in the US and returned to the Apple and Google app stores in February. Trump's reprieve to TikTok is set to expire on April 5. Why did Trump change his stance on TikTok from wanting to ban it to going all-out to save it? Why Trump wants to save TikTok

Donald Trump blasted by global leaders over auto tariffs. Will US President hold or withdraw duties order?
Donald Trump's steep tariffs on imported vehicles and parts, vowing retaliation as a widening trade war intensifies, as per a report. Major car exporter Germany urged a firm response from the European Union, while Japan said it «will consider all options», AFP reported. The US duties take effect starting April 3 and impact foreign-made cars and light trucks. Key automobile parts will also be hit within the month. Global stock markets plummeted with automakers like Toyota, Hyundai and Mercedes leading the plunge. In New York, shares in General Motors tumbled with Ford and Stellantis also declining. France Finance Minister Eric Lombard condemned the «hostility,» saying the only solution for the European Union is to «raise tariffs on American products in response.»

Scammers pose as police, trick 78-year-old into losing Rs 13 lakh life savings in digital heist
scammers posing as police officers, who extorted Rs 13 lakh from him, reported TOI. The fraudsters falsely accused him of money laundering and threatened his arrest within two days. Ratan Singh, an English teacher at a coaching centre and resident of Pandav Nagar, described the harrowing experience in his complaint. It all started on December 19 when he received a call while preparing tea before heading to work. The caller warned that his phone number would be disconnected within two hours. The call was then transferred to someone impersonating a policeman, who handed it over to a person claiming to be a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). “They created a scene that made me believe the call was legitimate. Then the torture began,” Ratan recounted, said the report. The scammers escalated the situation by telling Ratan he was implicated in a money laundering case. They claimed his property would be sealed, and he would be arrested within two days unless he complied. They instructed him to provide his bank details, including the balance in his accounts, and demanded that he transfer his money to their accounts to avoid arrest and property confiscation. According to TOI, to heighten the pressure, the scammers told Ratan he was under surveillance and asked for personal information, including his location and battery percentage. They warned him not to inform anyone, threatening to seize his house if he did. Fearing the repercussions, Ratan did not tell his wife or daughter about the calls.

Will HAL finally gain speed after getting GE engines for Tejas following multi-year delay?
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is gearing up to ramp up production of the Tejas Mark-1A, India's indigenously developed fighter jet, after years of delays worsened by issues with engine supplies from the United States, according to a TOI report on Thursday. The first of the 99 engine shipments arrived on March 26, 2025, after General Electric's (GE) aerospace division overcame significant challenges, including reactivating the F404 production line, which had been dormant for five years. This marks a major milestone, but HAL still faces numerous challenges in meeting the ambitious delivery timelines for the fighter aircraft, which is crucial for India’s military preparedness. In response to the ongoing delays, HAL has intensified its efforts to scale up production, with three production lines in operation, said the TOI report. The company’s facilities in Bengaluru and Nashik are expected to play a crucial role in increasing production capacity. According to the report, HAL is confident that it can scale up to a rate of 20 Tejas per year, with plans to further boost production to 24 units annually.

OnlyFans fined $1.4 million for age disclosure failures amid allegations of illegal content
media and telecommunications regulator announced on Thursday that it has fined the operator of the adult-only platform OnlyFans £1.05 million ($1.4 million) for failing to meet age-verification and disclosure requirements, according to a report by Reuters. The fine comes amid growing concerns about the platform's involvement in hosting illegal content, including child sexual abuse material and trafficking. Meanwhile, another Reuters report earlier in January, 2025, noted that the popular subscription-based platform has been at the center of allegations involving its payment processors, Visa and Mastercard. According to the Reuters report, a whistleblower, identified as a senior compliance expert, filed a complaint in January 2023, accusing the two credit card giants of failing to stop their networks from processing payments for illicit material on the platform.

IPL 2025 SRH vs LSG pitch & weather report: How will the surface at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium play for today's match?
The previous season's runners-up made an early impact by posting the league’s second-highest total. As SRH gets ready for today’s match, it’s unlikely they’ll change their aggressive approach, making it possible for them to become the first team to score 300 runs in an IPL inning. In the first five matches, 119 sixes were hit, with 30 coming from the SRH-RR game. The Sunrisers will be eager to take on the LSG bowling attack, which is missing key players Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, and Akash Deep due to injuries.Avesh has been cleared to return, but it will be interesting to see how he fares in his first match since January. He’ll face SRH’s strong top order, including Ishan Kishan, Travis Head, and Abhishek Sharma, all in excellent form. Nitish Kumar Reddy, making a comeback from injury, showed no signs of trouble with a rapid 30 off 15 balls. With Heinrich Klaasen waiting in the wings, LSG's bowling attack faces a significant challenge.

Is Tesla-killer BYD chasing Elon Musk to India?
Tesla struggles with falling sales and share price and global protests against his brand for his support to US President Donald Trump, its CEO Elon Musk looks at India with hope. Long seen as a potential disruptor for India's EV, Tesla is finally entering India, opening a showroom in Mumbai to sell its imported cars and has plans to set up a manufacturing plant in Maharashtra. However, Tesla has lost years dilly-dallying on its India entry and meanwhile Indian EV makers have grown enough to make things difficult for it. Many think the company may not after all be able to disrupt the Indian market in any significant way nor reap any huge dividends. Tesla may face another big challenge in India. Its global rival BYD (Build Your Dreams), which sells cars imported from China in India, could be planning to manufacture in the country. According to unconfirmed media reports, the Chinese EV giant is planning to set up a factory in Telangana. BYD, together with Indian EV makers such as Mahindra and Tata; the JV between India's JSW and China's MG Motor; and Korean and Japanese automakers CAN make it difficult for Tesla to benefit from the Indian market in any substantial way.
