If successful, they will make headlines, but they also will almost certainly alienate allies as they attempt to box in Vice President Kamala Harris on Gaza. How did a normal mom use drones to smuggle millions into prisons? Discover the shocking double life of Lucy Adcock
Lucy Adcock, a 47-year-old from Ruislip, West London, led a double life. By day, she was a devoted single mother of five, handling school runs and family dinners. By night, she ran an organized crime group using drones to smuggle contraband into UK prisons. Adcock managed operations that involved delivering drugs and mobile phones worth nearly £1.5 million to six high-security jails, as per the reports of The Sun.co.uk. From her home, Adcock coordinated a team of four “ground crew” members. They used heavy-duty drones to drop packages of drugs and phones over prison walls. The contraband, wrapped in cling film and placed inside socks with fishing hooks, was retrieved by inmates using makeshift ropes. The operation was highly organized, with Adcock directing the crew from her car parked up to 20 miles from the prison.

High food inflation could exacerbate inequality: Kaushik Basu
Kaushik Basu on Saturday said India needs to tame inflation that disproportionately affects people who spend a large chunk of their income on food and could exacerbate inequality. «Even if inflation is at 5.1%, food inflation is at 30%. For someone spending 50% of their income on food, that 30% food inflation is hitting them significantly harder despite government programmes like PM Gareeb Kalyan Yojana providing some relief,» Basu said at a Delhi School of Economics event to mark its 75 years of existence. Basu, who served as the chief economic advisor to the central government under the United Progressive Alliance regime, also underscored the importance of the next 10-15 years for lower middle-income category countries such as India to unleash the demand for labour.
