Amazon to invest extra 10 billion euros in Germany
Amazon said Wednesday it will invest an additional 10 billion euros ($10.7 billion) in Germany, most of it in cloud computing, the US tech giant's latest major investment in Europe. A total of 8.8 billion euros will come from Amazon's cloud computing division AWS and will be invested in southwest Germany by 2026, with the rest going into logistics, robotics and company offices.

Amid protests, Gujarat govt decides to recruit 7,500 teachers
Gujarat government has decided to recruit 7,500 teachers who have cleared the Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) to permanent positions across secondary and higher secondary state-run and grant-in-aid schools, following protests by eligible candidates. This decision, announced by government spokesperson and minister Rushikesh Patel on Wednesday, aims to fill vacancies within the next three months. The recruitment drive will target candidates who have cleared the TAT, a prerequisite for teaching positions in secondary and higher secondary schools. The state Cabinet headed by CM Bhupendra Patel also decided that the government will soon conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for primary school teachers.

India to impound liquor firm Som's distillery over child labour
Som Group distillery and temporarily suspending the plant's manufacturing licences after the federal child rights agency found 59 children working at the site illegally. Police launched an investigation into Som after the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) last week found 39 boys and 20 girls working at the factory.
