Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company Ltd. traded 1.31 per cent up at Rs 1101.3 on Thursday at around 10:56AM (IST), while the benchmark BSE Sensex advanced 253.22 points to 65686.52. As many as 23,784 shares changed hands on the counter with a total value of Rs 261.0 crore. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 1214.6 and a 52-week low of Rs 658.0. On the technical charts, the 200-DMA of the stock stood at Rs 883.0, while 50-DMA was at Rs 1112.71.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 77.1 points up at 19521.1, while BSE Sensex was up 259.71 points at 65693.01 at the time of writing this report. In the Nifty index, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 2.01 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.84 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.39 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.29 per cent) were among the top gainers. While Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 0.20 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 0.17 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) and Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.

Siemens Ltd. traded 1.46 per cent higher in Thursday's session at 10:51AM (IST).

Sensex traded 258.6 points higher at 65691.9. Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 775.0 and a 52-week low of Rs 557.15 on NSE. Around 26784 shares changed hands on the counter till 10:46AM (IST). The stock opened at Rs 651.05 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 661.8 and Rs 651.05 during the session so far.

Paytm (One 97 Communications) share price rose almost 3 per cent to hit its fresh 52-week high of ₹931 in morning trade on BSE on Thursday. The stock opened at ₹925.05 against the previous close of ₹905.60 and soon rose 2.80 per cent to hit its 52-week high of ₹931. However, the stock cooled off slightly and around 10:35 am, it was up 2.24 per cent at ₹925.85.

MphasiS Ltd. traded at Rs 2435.4 on BSE at 10:05AM (IST) on Thursday, up 3.44 per cent from previous close. The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 1660.65 and a high of Rs 2444.75. Info Edge (India) Ltd. traded 1.56 per cent up at Rs 4217.4 at 10:10AM (IST) on Thursday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 357.6 points to 65790.9.

Reserve Bank of India's policy meeting minutes, Indian equity markets opened higher on Thursday, led by banking, financial, and IT stocks. The BSE Sensex was trading 467 points or 0.71% higher at 65,752. Nifty50 was trading at 19,567, up 132 points or 0.68% at around 9.55 a.m. Among Sensex stocks, L&T, Tech Mahindra, JSW Steel, and Infosys opened with gains, while only Jio Financial Services and NTPC opened with losses.Atul Auto shares opened over 4% higher after European firm Societe Generale bought 140,000 shares of the firm.

Tata Communications, a part of Tata Group, Wednesday said it plans to raise ₹1,750 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs). The deemed date of allotment of the NCDs is August 29 and they will mature after three years of the allotment date. Tata Communications in a regulatory filing said the issuance will be done on a private placement basis to eligible investors. The company will issue a total of 175,000 NCDs of face value ₹1,00,000 each aggregating to ₹ 1,750 crore, the filing said. «The NCDs are proposed to be listed on the wholesale debt market segment of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited,» it added.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.43 per cent up at 538.9. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 47.55 points at 19444.0, while the BSE Sensex stood up 213.27 points at 65433.3. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 ended in the green, while 19 closed in the red. Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Alok Industries, Reliance Power and Bank of Maharashtra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
