CISCE) on Monday rescheduled the Chemistry Paper 1 of the ongoing Class-12 board exams, citing "unforeseen circumstances". While no board official gave any details of the said «circumstances», sources in some CISCE-affiliated schools in the city claimed that the question paper was reportedly leaked on social media before commencement of the exams. However, there was no official confirmation of the leak. «Please note, the ISC Year 2024 Chemistry Paper 1 (Theory) Examination, scheduled for Monday, 26th February 2024, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances,» the council said in a statement.

Internet services were suspended on Monday in Maharashtra's Jalna, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Beed districts to maintain law and order in view of the Maratha quota agitation led by activist Manoj Jarange, officials said on Monday. As a precautionary measure, borders of these districts have also been sealed, they said. The internet services in the three districts have been suspended with effect from 6 am to 4 pm to avoid any untoward incident due to rumours on social media platforms, an official said quoting an order of the state home department. Three cases has been registered in Beed district for agitations without permission, another official said adding that two persons have been arrested for damaging a state transport bus.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate around 2,000 railway infrastructure projects worth over Rs 41,000 crore on Monday. The PM said these works will further improve 'ease of living' for the people. «In order to enhance the travel experience, 553 stations will be redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Ahmedabad-based realty firm Savvy Group has emerged the highest bidder for developing the largest commercial and recreational project in the special economic zone of Gujarat International Finance Tec-City, or GIFT City. The project — spread over 2.8 million sq ft and entailing an investment of more than ₹1,200 crore — will also include an innovation and startup hub. The company has pipped three other bidders to bag the proposed project that surpasses all existing developments within the GIFT City, which previously boasted the largest development covering a million sq ft.
