Chandra Shekhar Azad, seen as an emerging competitor to Mayawati-led BSP for the mantle of Dalit politics in UP and elsewhere, speaks to CL Manoj on the electoral meltdown of the BSP, discord in Mayawati's family, what it means for ASP, the fight against the Modi government's policies, and on Rahul Gandhi's pitch for caste census. Edited Excerpts: ON experience as a first-time MP Babasaheb Ambedkar said political power is the master key to solving problems, implementing the agenda for social and economic changes and for changing society. Parliament, which makes laws and decides on the distribution of resources, is the master key of political power. I am using it for the cause of my people, the Dalits and other backward sections. ASP's task is to get more of our people elected next time.

Was told not to talk against RSS, says Digvijaya; hails Rahul's stand on Cong's BJP sympathisers
Digvijaya Singh on Sunday said he was asked not to speak against the RSS while campaigning in Gujarat for fear of «angering Hindus» and hailed Rahul Gandhi's tough talk in that state a day earlier on those in the party helping the ruling BJP. Addressing Congress workers in Ahmedabad on Saturday, Gandhi had said the party's first job was to separate two groups of Congress workers and leaders — ones who carry the party ideology in their hearts and stand with the public and the others who were cut off from the public, «half of whom are with the BJP». He had underlined the need to filter out such leaders and workers and had warned of strict action, even removals. In a post on social media platform X on Sunday, Singh congratulated Gandhi for his statement and said, «I remember when I went to Gujarat to campaign as the Chief Minister of MP, I was instructed not to speak against the RSS. Hindus will get angry.»

Kamath’s post quickly gained traction, as many users resonated with his frustration over Instagram’s numerous features. To illustrate his confusion, he shared a screenshot of a conversation with his colleagues, where he attempted to understand Instagram’s functions. «Wth is stories on Instagram?» he asked, prompting his colleague Krishna Lohia to respond, «Stories, Reels, posts WTF.» When Krishna added, «There's community also,» Kamath could only react with a resigned «Damn.» His confusion deepened when another colleague, Karthik Rangappa, explained that «Posts has normal and carousel also.» Kamath, clearly overwhelmed, responded, «What! How are people not confused with all of this?» The conversation struck a chord with social media users, with some agreeing that Instagram can be difficult to navigate, even for tech-savvy individuals.

Mohammed Shami drops NZ's Rachin Ravindra in Champions Trophy finale, leaves Rohit Sharma and fans frustrated; Watch video
Mohammed Shami had an eventful start to the Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. In the seventh over, Shami dropped a crucial caught-and-bowled chance off Rachin Ravindra, giving the in-form Kiwi batter a lifeline. The missed opportunity left skipper Rohit Sharma visibly frustrated, as India hoped to break New Zealand’s strong start. Bowling to Rachin, Shami sent down a full delivery at the stumps, which was driven powerfully straight back at him. The veteran pacer attempted a reverse-cup catch over his left shoulder, but the ball ricocheted off his little finger, slipping away for a single. Shami immediately looked in discomfort, prompting the physio to rush onto the field and tape his fingers.

IAS officer and IIT-IIM graduate pens emotional post on 'guilt of motherhood' on Women's Day, says it's important to 'forgive yourself'
Divya Mittal, an officer of the esteemed Indian Administrative Service (IAS), is no stranger to adversity. Her journey toward becoming a civil servant was paved with relentless effort, unwavering determination, and countless sacrifices. Before successfully clearing one of the nation’s most challenging competitive examinations, she pursued higher education at two of India’s most distinguished institutions—the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Delhi and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bangalore. While securing admission into these premier institutes and eventually entering the bureaucratic system required immense perseverance, Mittal acknowledges that none of these hurdles compare to the complexities and emotional demands of motherhood. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, she shared a series of reflections about the trials and triumphs of raising two young daughters while simultaneously managing the weighty responsibilities of her profession.

Taking inspiration from The Godfather, the meme reimagines China as Don Corleone, with Canada, Greenland, and Panama stepping into the role of the desperate undertaker Bonasera—seeking favors they once shunned. The meme brilliantly uses the legendary movie dialogue to poke fun at the current geopolitical scenario, where former U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked controversy with his bold statements about bringing Canada, Greenland, and the Panama Canal under American control.
