Looking for a job outside India? How to find govt-registered overseas job recruitment agents
foreign job is so luring that individuals have even paid up to Rs 5 lakh to various fake overseas job recruitment agents, revealed data from the Ministry of External Affairs. «It has been noticed that there has been a huge rise in the number of overseas job seekers being cheated by unregistered recruitment agents by fake job offers and also overcharging to the tune of Rs 2-5 lakhs,» said the MEA in a press release dated December 14, 2023. In light of these incidents of fraud, the MEA has highlighted how Indians can search and connect with genuine overseas job recruitment agents who are registered with the MEA. «Persons seeking jobs abroad are requested to use the safe and legal services of registered Recruiting Agents (RA) only. All registered RAs are issued a license number which is prominently displayed in their office premises and their advertisements, including newspapers and social media,» said the MEA in the press release.

Sliding doors
sliding doors at the entrance? As a person approaches the door, the motion or pressure-detecting sensors trigger the sliding of the doors. The building opens its heart as it were and welcomes you if you are coming from outside; the world outside beckons if you are leaving the building. In either case, hands free without you having to touch the door. How uncomplicated would life be if each of us could act as sensors to help slide doors smoothly and reveal a different world for each other? A world where we do not restrain each other behind locked doors.

Stop the preaching, judges, do the job
Supreme Court has with commendable alacrity taken up for review a judgment delivered by the Calcutta High Court in a case of underage sexual abuse that is problematic on several counts. First, the judgment goes beyond its brief to decide on the merits of the appeal against the ruling of a lower court. Second, the judgment suggests amendment of the law on underage sex and invoked discretionary powers to pronounce the verdict.
