An important process stage of the turbine installation has been completed at Rooppur NPP Unit 1 in Bangladesh (the general designer and general contractor is Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division). This resulted in the turbine set placement on the barring gear. During the tests, the turbine shaft started rotating at a slow speed. The barring gear ensures correct alignment and balancing of the turbine rotor before the start-up and shutdown, which prevents the turbine components form wearing and ensures safe and efficient work. The experts carried out control checks that confirmed accuracy of the alignment and high quality of assembly of the turbine set. “Installation of the turbine at Rooppur NPP Unit 1 has been completed successfully and this is an important step to the physical start-up of the plant. consumption sector, traditionally seen as a defensive haven during market volatility, is in the midst of a rare and sharp underperformance — with the Nifty FMCG and Nifty Consumption indices down about 20% and 17% from their September 2024 peaks, respectively. While the sector has lagged the broader market in recent months, Motilal Oswal sees this slump as a selective buying opportunity, driven by an expected demand recovery and easing inflation that could set the stage for a rebound. The consumption sector's underperformance— nearly 900-600 basis points below the Nifty100 — creates compelling entry points in select names, Motilal Oswal said, highlighting Page Industries, Devyani International, Metro Brands, V-Mart, Lemon Tree Hotels, LT Foods, and Cello World as key stock picks with strong fundamentals and growth potential.

The second round was an in-person panel interview with engineers, where he had to answer technical questions and give a short presentation. However, the third round included a group project where candidates had to suggest improvements to an existing company design, followed by technical aptitude tests and a final interview with senior management and HR. Strategy wellness stage Equality rights bowling Chennai Weather Forecast: Will rain play spoilsport in today's MI vs CSK IPL clash?
Chennai Super Kings will lean on their formidable spin strength under favourable conditions at the Chepauk as well as recent record against Mumbai Indians when the two sides face each other in their Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign opener here on Sunday. Five-time winners CSK augmented their spin attack in the IPL mega auction last year by including Ravichandran Ashwin, Noor Ahmad Shreyas Gopal and Deepak Hooda, with India veteran Ravindra Jadeja also in the mix. CSK's pre-season moves indicate how the spin-friendly conditions at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here could be a major factor in their game plan. Starting their season against an equally formidable opponent in Mumbai Indians, this strategy could well deliver the goods right from the beginning. For CSK, MS Dhoni will be the cynosure of all eyes once again, having remained with the team since the inception of the IPL in 2008. On the other hand, the absence of India bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah could be acutely felt in the MI ranks as the right-arm pacer remains on a comeback trail from a back-related issue which has kept him sidelined so far this year. Bumrah is expected to miss the initial stages of this IPL and his absence will leave MI without their lethal weapon in the death overs, presenting the management with a headache to work with other options and strategies.

Addressing an event organised by Chennai Citizens' forum on Saturday evening, Sitharaman dismissed charges of the state government that the Centre has neglected Tamil Nadu in terms of funding. She said major 'big ticket' projects have been announced and are progressing at various stages of implementation across the State. «Tamil Nadu has been the largest beneficiary under the PLI- scheme in electronics, electronic parts and automobiles. Out of the 27 companies that have received approval from the Centre, 7 are based out of Tamil Nadu,» the Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs noted. Sitharaman highlighted that 25 per cent of the companies availing benefits from the PLI scheme are from the state, she said drawing applause from the audience at the M O P Vaishnav College in the city. Without naming the government or any individual, she rejected claims that the state received minimal revenue from central taxes. «These people arrive at a calculation that the Centre was giving a minimal amount of revenue from the central taxes. I really do not know how they pose such an argument. All I have to say is that the State has been a beneficiary in various central schemes and sector specific initiatives in the last 10 years.» She also pointed out that Tamil Nadu hosts one of the country's two major electronic parts manufacturing clusters, alongside Gujarat. An allocation of Rs 1,100 crore has been made for setting up the cluster in Tamil Nadu.
