Third Eye: Left wondering, on lighter note and coconut weapon
Left wondering In a move that has left the Naval community confused, former Navy chief Admiral Hari Kumar has quit as chairman of National Maritime Foundation. Traditionally, the most recently retired Navy chief functions as chairman of the foundation. While he took charge just a few months ago, those still part of the foundation are wondering what triggered Admiral Kumar's move. On lighter note The collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s statue in Sindhudurg has caused a political storm in Maharashtra. But there was a lighter side to the issue too. Asked if this is a bad omen for BJP ahead of assembly polls, a senior BJP leader said Sharad Pawar does not believe in such superstitions, so collapse will not be viewed as a positive or negative sign by him and his followers. This logic could be debatable as Pawar, Sena (UBT) and Congress have aggressively cornered BJP on the incident.

Motivated by Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut attempts driving once more. The result is unexpected
Kangana Ranaut also had her share of accidents and narrow misses while learning how to drive. In a recent media interaction, the actress-politician revealed that she hit an autorickshaw during her first attempt to earn a driver’s license. She also admitted that it was her peer Deepika Padukone who inspired her to obtain a license. In an interview withMashable India, the ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ star said that the sight of Padukone driving her SUV effortlessly was what eventually inspired her to take her driving lessons seriously. “I’ve tried learning to drive so many times, but both times I went for my driving test, I ended up hitting something. Deepika Padukone and I entered Bollywood around the same time—her debut was in 2007, and mine was in 2006. We were even in the same driving school back then, both living in Bandra at the time,” she revealed.
