health insurance market: many individuals are choosing to quit their health insurance policies. Is Trump actually playing a strategic ‘chess’ game—and are we all just pawns? On April 2, Trump unveiled sweeping new tariffs on foreign imports, calling the day “Liberation Day” for American industry. The move includes a 25% tariff on all foreign-made cars and a baseline 10% tariff on imports from every country not part of the USMCA trade deal—leaving the EU, UK, and others scrambling to respond. China, of course, fired back with a 34% tariff on U.S. goods. But as the political fallout begins to swirl, a viral social media theory is giving the chaos a dramatic twist.

Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) are becoming an essential part of diversified investment strategies in today's fast-changing financial landscape. Strategy Trade country social reports Tariffs stir talks: India, Vietnam and Israel hustle for deals with team Trump
These negotiations come just days after the US imposed a series of new tariffs affecting several nations, including a levy of 26% on India. According to Reuters, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed the levies with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. A State Department readout of their meeting confirmed that the tariff discussions are part of a broader diplomatic effort. The talks are centered on a relatively small subset of the countries impacted by the new tariffs, with both parties looking to strike deals. This is seen as the first phase of a larger set of negotiations, as countries begin to assess their next steps and responses to the tariff changes. On Friday, Vietnam, which is facing a 46% tariff on its exports to the US, announced that it intends to reduce its tariffs on US goods to zero, pending an agreement with the US.

Volkswagen Strategy Porsche WhatsApp Audi President Sporting Volkswagen to add 'import fee' to cars sold in US
Volkswagen, the German automaker, has told its car dealers that it plans to add an import fee later this month to the price of imported cars sold in the United States. The company's move is one of the first and clearest examples of automakers using price increases to deal with the 25% tariffs President Donald Trump imposed on car and auto parts imports. The tariffs on vehicles went into effect Thursday, and the levies on parts will become effective May 3. In a Tuesday memo to dealers, Volkswagen said that the exact fees would be determined by the middle of April. The New York Times reviewed a copy of the memo. The automaker also told dealers it planned to cut back on sales incentives and had halted rail shipments of cars to the United States from its plants in Mexico, although shipments by sea continue. Volkswagen plans to hold cars that are subject to the tariffs in port for «the near term.» It also told dealers that the price of the Volkswagen Atlas sport utility vehicle, which is made in Chattanooga, Tennessee, could be affected by the tariffs because it includes important imported components. The extent of the impact most likely will not be known until May, the memo said. The automaker, including its Audi and Porsche brands, imports almost all the cars it sells in the United States. Besides the Atlas, Volkswagen also assembles the ID.4 electric sport-utility vehicle in Tennessee.

COST Provident Strategy Death Research country patient Study highlights 'catastrophic costs' incurred by tuberculosis patients worldwide
University of Ottawa, said that patients incurring catastrophic costs are two to four times more likely to experience treatment failure. Therefore, mitigating treatment costs will not only benefit individuals, but also health systems and communities at large, they said. Tuberculosis is a bacterial disease that spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Symptoms include a persistent cough, chest pain, fever, fatigue, among others. Findings, published in the journal PLOS Global Public Health, also showed that costs were consistently higher among patients having drug resistant tuberculosis and those identified through 'passive case finding'. The researchers suggested that actively finding cases, along with improving access to tests for drug resistant tuberculosis, may help mitigate the burden of out-of-pocket expenditures incurred by patients.
