Lithium-ion battery demand in India to grow to 127 gigawatt hour by FY30
lithium-ion battery demand in India is set to grow exponentially to 54 gigawatt hours (GWh) by FY27 and 127 GWh by FY30, as the country sets an ambitious target to meet 50% of its primary energy requirement from renewable energy by 2030. Currently, domestic lithium-ion battery storage demand of 15 GWh is being almost entirely met through imports of lithium-ion cells and batteries. India imports almost its entire requirement of Li-ion batteries. However, CareEdge Ratings expects India's import dependency to decline to 20 per cent by FY27, despite significant growth in demand due to large-scale integrated capacities being built for Li-ion battery storage.

'7 Habits of Highly Effective Leaders' shows the importance of prioritising and learning
Stephen Covey’s book, “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, shows how important this strategy is. It says a jar (life/effort/mind) can be filled up using rocks (priorities) and sand (distractions). If you fill the jar up with sand first, there won’t be space to put in the rocks. But if you put the rocks in first, the jar would be filled with more meaningful stones; even if sand is poured in, it would only fill the empty spaces. This shows that one should choose the things that are important in life and not waste time on other distractions. The book provides a detailed framework on building such habits. The author speaks about being proactive by taking responsibility for actions and responses. From a career perspective, this could involve identifying the root causes of delays and streamlining processes and tasks instead of complaining.

India least exposed to Trump's trade policies, CLSA raises India's overweight to 20 pc over China
India is emerging as one of the least affected markets in the region when it comes to former U.S. President Donald Trump's trade policies, highlighted a report by global brokerage firm CLSA. The report stated that this resilience is attributed to India's relatively low trade exposure to the U.S., manageable corporate leverage, and declining levels of foreign equity ownership. While other markets might face greater vulnerabilities, India remains better positioned to weather such challenges. «India appears as among the least exposed of regional markets to Trump's adverse trade policy. Moreover, so long as energy prices remain stable, India may offer a relative oasis of FX stability in an era of a strengthening US dollar» it said.

Chicago Tribune, Oprah's hometown newspaper, blasts her for taking $1 million to share stage with Kamala Harris
Among the campaign expenses by Kamala Harris, there were two payments of $500,000 each to Harpo Productions, that was done on October 15, 2024, according to the Federal Election Commission filings. Winfrey is the chairwoman and CEO of that very company, according to the DailyMail UK. Therefore, it became quite clear that Winfrey had appeared on events in presence of Kamala Harris in exchange for money, and not just out of love and endorsement of the Democrat candidate. For Winfrey, it apparently was all business, and Harris also used up her war-chest to mislead the US voters, according to reports. However, these actions by Harris are the ones that landed her in millions of dollars in debt, something that has been take note of by US donors, who generously provided for the Democrat campaign, but it did not suffice due to overspending, and not staying within the campaign budget. This has led to the campaign staffers not receiving due money, which has taken the Harris team on the verge of bankruptcy, say reports.

Elon Musk-owned X, erstwhile Twitter, sees massive user exodus after takeover by the Tesla CEO
Donald Trump and Elon Musk were close to each other and both have together worked in tandem in order to win the US Presidential elections 2024. However, this is not just enough as Trump, in a 'rewarding sort of things', announced that Elon Musk would be heading the 'Department of Government Efficiency', an all-new federal wing under the White House that will be looking at cutting down federal government expenses and its way of tacking the multi-trillion dollar expense budget of the country. Meanwhile, amid all this social media users on X are questioning Donald Trump and Elon Musk's partnership, and looking at the times ahead, a massive exodus is ongoing where users and brands like The Guardian and Don Lemon are busy announcing their departures from Musk-led X. alternative text-based social media apps like Bluesky and Instagram’s Threads are also being seen as viable options to shift to at the moment for X users, and account numbers at X is taking a hit looking at these factors. For the record, Bluesky is currently the no. 1 free app on Apple’s App Store, directly ahead of Threads in terms of usage, according to an NBC News report. According to some social media users, using X during and after the election was a major pain, as it kept being an ardent Elon Musk-backer, and it was 'slowly becoming a place where they weren't really getting what they wanted out of it anymore.'
