Tata Motors tests export markets for EVs, to roll out EV-only dealerships in India
Tata Motors, India's biggest electric carmaker, is testing its electric vehicles in some global markets where it could look at a potential launch if the experiment succeeds, its managing director told Reuters. The tests are in early stages and based on how the cars perform, Tata may need to make some changes to the product before it can finalise and develop a «go to market» strategy, Shailesh Chandra said in an interview. «It is about which markets I should be in, with what products and with what kind of distribution strategy. We are assessing some markets, running our cars, discussing with business partners,» he said. Chandra said it was too early to discuss details of the export markets and there would be more clarity next year. Tata also plans to roll out new car dealerships over coming quarters in some Indian cities that will exclusively sell EVs as sales of its clean cars gain momentum and it lines up faster launches of new electric models, Chandra said. Sales of EVs globally have been growing as tighter emission regulations push carmakers to increase the share of electric cars in their portfolio.

UFO study panel of NASA to unveil findings on UAP today. Time, where to watch live streaming
Approximately 30 minutes prior to the briefing, NASA will make the team's complete report available online. The primary objective of this report is to provide insights to NASA regarding potential data collection strategies in the future, with the aim of shedding light on the nature and origin of UAP. In 2022, NASA assembled a panel of experts to scrutinize data related to UAP, a term for UFOs. UAP includes abnormal objects or occurrences in the sky, underwater, or in space that cannot be immediately identified. Now, the team is preparing to release its inaugural report on Thursday, offering recommendations to NASA on how to enhance the collection and analysis of data that could contribute to understanding the nature and origin of UAP. It's crucial to emphasize that, as stated in NASA's announcement of the briefing, the report does not assess or review previous unidentified observations.

Kacholia-backed Zaggle Prepaid IPO opens. Should you subscribe to the issue?
Ahead of the issue opening, Zaggle garnered Rs 253.52 crore from 23 anchor investors at the upper price band of Rs 164 per equity share. Analysts remain mixed on the IPO, with few recommending to avoid it while others advising to bid for a short-to-medium-term view. «If we attribute FY23 earnings to the post-IPO fully diluted paid-up equity capital of the company, the asking price is at a P/E of 66.7 and we believe it to be priced aggressively. We, therefore, recommend an 'Avoid' rating for the issue,» StoxBox said. The price band for the IPO is fixed at Rs 156-164 per share and investors can bid for a minimum of 90 shares in one lot and in multiples thereafter. At the upper price band of Rs 164, Zaggle Prepaid is available at an adjusted P/E of 54.3x (FY23), which appears to be aggressively priced, said Geojit Financial Services. However, several factors contribute to its appeal, including a diverse client base spanning various industries, consistent revenue growth over the years, the company's expansion strategies, a diversified revenue model, and the flourishing digital payments sector, it added.

India's presidency at G20 a breakthrough, says Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar
India's G20 presidency was a breakthrough, said Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, adding there was legitimate and rightful recognition of a resurgent India as a global power. Addressing the research faculty of the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) at Sapru House on Wednesday, the Vice-President noted the widespread appreciation for India's role during its Presidency of the G20, and the success of the recently concluded G20 Leaders' Summit. Emphasizing that India was in a defining moment in history, the vice president urged researchers to make people aware of the achievements of the nation, stated an official release. «You are the window for every outsider to the country, and for every Indian citizen to the world,» he underlined. Highlighting India's rising stature on the global stage, the Vice-President traced India's journey from being part of the 'Fragile Five' to being the fifth-largest economy in the world. Dhankar added that some of the accomplishments that were taking place in India had once seemed beyond imagination for the world. «They can never imagine that this could happen in a country that has diversity of religion, caste, creed and language,» he elaborated. He urged research scholars of ICWA to be at the forefront of countering «pernicious, sinister narratives that are floated periodically about India». Stressing the need to engage in in-depth analysis of such narratives, the Vice-President said, «Your role is important in neutralizing such a crafted strategy only to taint, tarnish, demean, and decimate our Constitutional institutions.» The Vice-President, who is also the ex-officio President of ICWA, inaugurated the renovated library of ICWA at Sapru House.
