Lok Sabha proceedings disrupted as DMK members protest over Pradhan's remarks
Lok Sabha proceedings were on Monday adjourned for about 30 minutes after DMK members protested over Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's remarks that the Tamil Nadu government was «dishonest» on the issue of implementing the PM Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme. Replying to a question on the PM SHRI scheme, Pradhan said the DMK-led Tamil Nadu government has changed its stand on implementing the centrally-sponsored scheme which envisaged strengthening the schools managed by central, state or local bodies. The state concerned has to sign an MoU with the central government that it would implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and in return the central government provides the fund. «The Tamil Nadu government had initially agreed to sign the MoU. But now they have changed the stand. Many non-BJP-ruled states, including Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh, have signed the agreement,» he said.

Job market shock: Why a fresh graduate from top 3 IIM took a pay cut, from Rs 23 LPA to 16 LPA
IIM graduate who reportedly quit his job just 10 days after joining due to a misunderstanding about his role. According to the Reddit user, who previously worked as an inside sales representative, he was asked to train a newly hired account executive—an IIM graduate who had secured a lucrative package of Rs 21 lakh per annum, along with a Rs 2 lakh joining bonus. However, despite the attractive salary, the new recruit resigned in less than two weeks. The reason? He believed he was hired for a marketing position but was instead assigned to sales for the first year. Feeling misled, he decided to leave. The Reddit user recounted a conversation where the graduate expressed frustration, saying he hadn’t expected to handle sales accounts. When reassured that this was common in the industry, the IIM graduate firmly stated that he didn’t want to continue. Despite having a student loan, the graduate later accepted a role in operations and supply chain management with a lower salary of Rs 16 lakh per annum.

What is ‘Geido’? This 700-year-old Japanese philosophy can help you master any skill in your career
Geidō, a 700-year-old system, provides a structured path to achieving mastery in any art. Unlike Western ideas of «natural talent» or «born geniuses,» Geidō suggests that true expertise isn’t something you're born with—it’s something you build through a deep, disciplined process. It’s the reason behind the refined elegance of a tea ceremony, the breathtaking strokes of Japanese calligraphy, and the razor-sharp precision of a samurai’s swordplay. But the beauty of Geidō? It’s not limited to traditional arts—it can be applied to any skill in life, including your career.
