Citi Booking Pool students Swimming audience Colleges The last utopias, rants galore notwithstanding
British empire — while the audience wonders whether some free snacks and free books could be finagled at the end of it. Quite often, they fail. Having attended three literature festivals this year back-to-back, I've concluded that it is possible to have a wonderful time once you've avoided crowds chasing unlikely heartthrob Sudha Murty and English thesaurus on the cheap Shashi Tharoor, the former actually requiring a bodyguard to protect her from demanding schoolchildren and college students (and one Narayana Murthy fan). This is the first time I've seen a children's book author requiring a bodyguard. The first festival I went to this season was in Bangalore. And it was around a swimming pool. (Whyever not?). Apart from literature, there was a lot of startup wisdom, as expected in Nilekani City. What's very zeitgeist in India now is someone whose startup has made a few hundred crores, has a podcast, and is a mid-30s philosopher, holding forth on everything from the number of steps a day necessary to how FDs will ruin you, to the toxicity in tonic.

Lok Sabha on Saturday hailed the tenure as «historic» and recalled Article 370, triple talaq, Ram temple and the new Parliament building as the highlights. Poonam Mahajan, Mumbai North Central MP, said, «I feel blessed to be an MP in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's era. We can see things happening the way it was never before. The impact on social reforms, economic reforms and reforms with which we can take the farmers, youth and women forward. As many as 25 crore people have come above poverty line, which is the biggest achievement.» Asked what was the highlight when it comes to legislative business, she said, «Article 370 was abrogated. It was connected more with our hearts. Kashmir has suffered many years of bad politics of Congress. Of course, travel was disrupted in between during COVID but still we managed and the session went on. It was very very successful. I was part of two Lok Sabhas — 16th and 17th. WhatsApp community students Universities stage reports International Netherlands may be working on a plan to curb new international students
Dutch universities have collectively agreed to take measures aimed at limiting the influx of international students and enhancing proficiency in the Dutch language among both students and staff. The decision was reported by the National News Agency of the Netherlands (ANP). As part of these measures, there will be a pause in the development of new bachelor's programs in English. Universities will conduct assessments to identify existing courses offered in English that can be fully translated into Dutch. Master's programs offered in English will remain unaffected by these changes. The active recruitment of personnel through international fairs will not be actively encouraged, except in sectors facing significant labor shortages. A significant step in this direction is the agreement among universities that core bachelor's programs in key fields, such as economics and psychology, should be primarily taught in Dutch. This move aims to strike a balance between internationalization and ensuring that essential programs are accessible in the native language.
