Boeing Food SpaceX hospital testing travelers After nine months in zero gravity—Sunita Williams, Butch Wilmore prepare for a gravity-shocking return
NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry «Butch» Wilmore are set to return to Earth on 18 March after spending over nine months aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Their mission was extended due to propulsion issues with Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, which was deemed unfit for their return journey. Instead, the astronauts will be flying back aboard SpaceX’s Crew Dragon, with splashdown expected near the Florida coast. Their journey home marks the end of an unusual mission. Williams and Wilmore had originally travelled to the ISS in June last year as part of the first crewed test flight of Boeing’s Starliner. However, multiple technical issues, including helium leaks and propulsion malfunctions, forced NASA to alter their return plans. markets Digital Strategy Trade country testing Podcasts Modi praises Trump while tariff time bomb ticks toward April 2 deadline
But while Beijing braces for impact, India’s strategy is more of wait and watch. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently showered warm words for Trump. Speaking on a podcast with Lex Fridman, Modi described Trump as «far more prepared» for his second term, crediting him with a clear roadmap and strategic steps to achieve his goals. However, Modi's praise comes amid looming reciprocal tariff threats and the fact that Trump has time and again called out India to be among the nations that charge the US the highest tariffs. While Trump has praised Modi often, he has called India a tariff abuser. In the February meeting, Trump and Modi discussed trade issues and the nations are working on a trade deal. Trump, nonetheless, wants actions from India that should be beneficial for his land, including India buying more oil from the US. Trump's close ally Elon Musk meanwhile also seems to be getting some advantage in India these days. While Tesla is about to enter India, telecom operators Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel also signed deals with Starlink.

Provident Compilation Software Simulation electronic information testing ISRO, SCL develops 32-bit Microprocessors for space applications
Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre and Semiconductor Laboratory (SCL), Chandigarh have jointly developed 32-bit Microprocessors — Vikram 3201 and Kalpana 3201-- for space applications, the space agency has said. Vikram 3201 is the first fully Indian-made 32-bit microprocessor qualified for use in the harsh environmental conditions of launch vehicles. The processor was fabricated at the 180nm (nanometer) CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor) semiconductor fab of SCL. This processor is an advanced version of the indigenously designed 16-bit Vikram 1601 microprocessor, which has been operating in the avionics system of ISRO's launch vehicles since 2009, ISRO said in a statement released late on Saturday. A «Make-in-India» version of the Vikram 1601 processor was subsequently inducted in 2016 after the 180nm semiconductor fab was established at SCL, the statement said. Kalpana 3201 is a 32-bit SPARC V8 (Scalable Processor ARChitecture, version 8) RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) microprocessor and is based on the IEEE 1754 Instruction Set Architecture, the space agency said. This microprocessor has been designed to be compatible with open-source software toolsets along with in-house developed simulators and IDE (Integrated Development Environment), and has been tested with flight software, it said.

Provident Death show social information testing Facts, not fear: Inside Mexico's pioneering drug harm reduction programs
Mexico City offered more than music, food and booze. Amidst the usual festival fare, a booth provided free, anonymous drug testing. The initiative, known as «Checa tu Sustancia» (Check Your Substance), is one of several recent efforts by Mexican civil society to reduce risk among people taking drugs. Spearheaded by the Instituto RIA, a Mexico-based drug policy research and advocacy organization, it aims to address drug use from a public health and social justice perspective, rather than a security one. In a well-lit corner of the festival, members of the Instituto RIA used reagents and laboratory porcelain plates to test substances that some of the partygoers planned to use and recorded the data. Their analysis uses color changes to indicate what's in the drug: It can reveal the presence of adulterants but not their exact proportion. They also offered test strips that can detect the presence of fentanyl and nasal sprays of naloxone, a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. Also available were informational flyers detailing the effects of various psychoactive substances and what to do to reduce the risks associated with using them, including simple but critical measures like staying hydrated and eating well.
