SCOT captured its inaugural image of the city of Buenos Aires while passing over South America. On January 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said on X, “Kudos to Indian Space startup Digantara on the success of Mission SCOT. This is an important contribution of the growing Indian Space industry towards enhancing Space situational awareness.”

Digantara had launched the space surveillance satellite SCOT (Space Camera for Object Tracking) on January 14 aboard SpaceX's Transporter-12 rocket. The satellite started operations on Saturday. «Space just ran out of hiding spots,» the start-up said in a post on X.

WHO chief scientist and health ministry advisor Soumya Swaminathan has said. In an interview with PTI on the sidelines of TERI's World Sustainable Development Summit, she also stressed the urgent need for better tracking, preparedness and policy interventions as the country braces for another extreme summer. Asked if India was undercounting heat-related deaths, the former director general of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said, «Most likely. We do not really have a good record of every death in the country and so we have to make some estimations.
