Indo-Pacific security: India mustn’t let Diego Garcia fall off its map

Trump's April Fooling around with trade
interest rate cuts to keep inflation in check without allowing growth to slide below a critical level. As Trump's tariff actions spread across the world, governments will face greater fiscal imbalance as their trade surplus with the US shrinks and they spend more to insulate domestic demand. Central banks will have a more straightforward choice in monetary accommodation. This should benefit bond markets outside the US.

Now Paytm UPI users can trade on the stock market without paying money to the stock broker in advance; Here’s how
Paytm UPI will now support UPI trading blocks i.e. Single Block Multiple Debits, resulting in simplification of stock market trading and investing. Using this feature Paytm UPI users can now set up automatic payment deductions directly from their bank account for stock market transactions, without having to transfer large sums to their trading accounts on supported stock broking apps. This will enable Paytm UPI users to continue to earn interest on their savings account bank balance, until they make their actual stock market transactions, since funds remain in their bank account. To say about this feature in a nutshell, the money from your bank account will only be deducted once you place the buy transaction on the stock market for buying any security. Like if you have Rs 10,000 in your bank account and want to buy shares of a company priced at Rs 1200 per share, then as soon as you hit the buy button for this share, the exact amount of money will be debited from your bank account. Earlier, you had to transfer the money from your bank account to the trading account and then place the buy order. After this the remaining balance would be transferred back to your bank account if unused. This delay is now eliminated through this UPI trading block feature. Read below to know highlights of this UPI trading block feature and a guide on how to use it:

Delhi airport launches new system to improve airside operations
DIAL has launched the UTAM system that will help reduce delays, improve turnaround time and also track the speed of all airside vehicles to check for any violations, among other elements. Leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), and radar systems, the Unified Total Airside Management (UTAM) will collect data, help identify issues or delays and trigger alerts to prevent problems before they happen, according to a release. The Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) has established a centralised control room to monitor and manage all activities, and the UTAM will track all airside vehicles such as baggage carts, fuel trucks and maintenance vehicles, in real-time. Generally, airside operations refer to those activities related to an aircraft, including take-off, landing, parking and refuelling. Multiple stakeholders, including ground handling service providers are involved.

Asteroid 2024 YR4 going to impact Earth and how much damage could it cause? NASA has the answer
Asteroid 2024 YR4 will dangerously hit Earth in 2032, world's largest space agency NASA has now issued a clarification and confirmed it is not going to ruin our planet. When scientists detected this space rock in December 2024, all the alarms went off. Asteroid 2024 YR4 is classified as a near-Earth asteroid, meaning its orbit brings it close to Earth’s region of the Solar System. Initially estimated to be 130 to 300 feet (40 to 90 meters) wide, it was thought to have a slight chance of impacting Earth on December 22, 2032, when first discovered. However, continued observations through early 2025 led NASA to confirm that 2024 YR4 poses no significant impact risk to Earth in 2032 or in the future.
