Paris train services disrupted after WWII bomb unearthed near Gare du Nord station
World War II bomb discovered near the tracks at Paris’ Gare du Nord train station on Friday morning disrupted travel for thousands of commuters. The unexploded ordnance affected metro, national, and international rail services, including Eurostar trains.
French railway company TER confirmed the discovery in a statement on social media platform X. “An unexploded bomb from the Second World War was discovered near the tracks,” TER stated.
Furthermore, all Eurostar trains to London have been halted following the bomb's discovery in Paris, as reported by AP.
Eurostar Trains Cancelled
The disruption extended to Eurostar services, with at least three scheduled departures from Gare du Nord cancelled, as shown on the company’s website. Eurostar has not yet provided further details or an official statement regarding the cancellations.

Authorities Yet to Respond
French police were not immediately available to provide additional information about the situation. Meanwhile, commuters faced significant delays as officials assessed the risk and worked to secure the area.
