The IAF IL-78 air-to-air refuelling aircraft took part in the ongoing Bright Star-23 Exercise in Egypt. Elon Musk on Sunday announced that X will soon allow only verified, premium users to participate in polls across subjects, including political issues, on the platforms to avoid bots from swaying the results. When writer-entrepreneur Brian Krassenstein posted that X has to make the option to only allow for blue checkmarks to participate in polls, Musk said it is coming soon. «We're changing polls to allow votes only by verified users. That's critical to avoid polls getting bot-spammed on controversial issues,» the billionaire said. «We shut down a lot of bots this week,» the tech billionaire added. X earlier announced that it would permit political advertising on its site from political parties and candidates in the US and expand its elections and safety team before the 2024 presidential election. The social media network said it will increase its teams to combat «emerging threats» and content manipulation.

Some of the lawmakers cited Russia's war on Ukraine and the crackdown on human rights in Iran as reasons for their boycott.

Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande on Saturday visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri sector and reviewed operational preparedness and security situation, Army officials said. General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, northern command Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi along with other senior officers received the chief of army staff (COAS) and briefed him about the operational preparedness, the officials said. «General Manoj Pande, #COAS visited and reviewed the forward areas in Rajouri Sector.

Elon Musk's X (formerly Twitter) has updated its privacy policy in a bid to collect biometric and other kinds of personal data like the user's educational history and employment preferences. In the updated privacy policy spotted by Bloomberg, X noted, “Based on your consent, we may collect and use your biometric information for safety, security, and identification purposes," The company clarified that biometrics will be used for adding an extra layer of verification for premium users, giving them the ability to provide their government ID and picture.

IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said she had a «productive» discussion with Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and looked forward to working with Beijing on global issues including climate change and support for developing economies. Georgieva was visiting China through Sunday to meet with top Chinese leaders before travelling to Indonesia and India for ASEAN and Group of 20 summits. In July, the IMF raised its 2023 global growth estimates slightly but left its forecast for China unchanged, cautioning that China's recovery was underperforming and a deeper contraction in the property sector remained a risk.
