F&O stocks: PFC, ABB India among 5 stocks with long buildup
Open interest indicates that bulls are likely to dominate the following counters. In Wednesday’s trading session, the following five stocks witnessed a build of fresh long positions. Let us first understand how this conclusion is reached whether the stock has seen a buildup of fresh long position or not. When the stock prices move up and open interest on the counter also moves upward, it is taken as a sign of a long buildup. The signal is considered more reliable if the volume on the counter has also seen an increase.

Real estate demand continues to stay strong; buy strong players: Hiren Ved
«Today, you have the BlackRocks and the GICs of the world, sovereign capital which is available. High quality institutional capital is available to the real estate industry and we have RERA, so there is far more regulation, balance sheets are deleveraged, and demand is pretty strong,» says Hiren Ved, Director & CIO, Alchemy Capital. So, buy all India players, buy regional players, what should one do? No, just buy strong players. See, real estate, by and large has been a local industry. There have been few players like Godrej, etc, who have been all India.

What TikTok failed to understand about America: Democracy
TikTok has become one of the world’s biggest stories in business and geo- politics. US President Joe Biden recently signed a law that will ban the massively popular app in nine months if its Chinese owner, ByteDance, does not sell it to a non-Chinese entity. TikTok, for its part, has called the law “political theatre," and it is probably right: there is always some theatrics in politics, and bashing China is currently one of the most popular shows in town.

After Vistara, here's why Air India crew is up in arms against Tatas
Air India Express, the low-cost carrier owned by Tata Group, today cancelled several flights. As per a PTI report, the discontent among the cabin crew has been growing, especially since the beginning of the merger process with AIX Connect, formerly known as AirAsia India. Union Concerns and Passenger Frustration A union representing a section of the Air India Express cabin crew has raised concerns about mismanagement and unequal treatment of staff. The Air India Express Employees Union (AIXEU), which claims to represent around 300 cabin crew members, mostly seniors, has alleged that mismanagement has affected the morale of the employees.

If choice is between Narendra Modi & Rahul Gandhi, I have no doubt people will opt for Modi: Swaminathan Aiyar
Swaminathan Aiyar, Consulting Editor, ET Now, says “BJP may have many jewels, but Mr Modi is Koh-i-Noor. The biggest thing the BJP has going for it is Mr Modi. And at the end of it all, you can have 25 different analyses of different issues. But if the stark choice is, do you want Mr Narendra Modi or do you want Mr Rahul Gandhi? I have no doubt that people will opt for Mr Modi, whatever their other reservations are. Whether he gets an increased majority or a reduced majority is another matter. But even if the BJP loses 100 seats, they will get more parties with them and so surely Mr Modi will be back.” On inflation the prime minister has cited the Korean War during the Nehru regime and he has spoken about how inflation was the highest during Indira Gandhi's time. Up front, what do you make of this historical context that the prime minister is referencing on inflation and the impact of the war in Ukraine, which he says affects food, fertiliser and fuel prices directly? Swaminathan Aiyar: He recalls inflation back in the early 50s. It is a fact that the Korean War resulted in a shortage of all kinds of commodities, which were being used for the war effort on both sides. Because of that very steep rise in all commodity prices, there was an increase in price in India too. While it is true that there were a certain number of restrictions on imports, actually imports were pretty free in the early 50s. Therefore, there was an impact.

In Andhra's Pithapuram, it's Pawan Kalyan's charisma vs YSRCP MP Geetha's credentials
Kapu community voters and anti-incumbency coupled with his personal charisma are what Janasena chief Pawan Klayan hopes to see him through the hustings in the Pithapuram assembly segment, while his opponent, the YSR Congress party's nominee Vanga Geetha, largely depends on her track record to defeat the actor-politician. Pithapuram shot into limelight after the segment was allotted to Janasena as part of seat sharing agreement of NDA and Kalyan, who belongs to the dominant Kapu community of the region, announced his candidature from it. The move forced the ruling YSRCP to field its sitting Kakinada Lok Sabha member Vanga Geetha, who also belongs to the same forward community, to take him on. The seat allocation to Janasena did not go down well with the supporters of former TDP legislator from the segment SVSN Varma and they raised a hue and cry.
