DP World and Reliance Industries have partnered to launch an innovative logistics solution for the petrochemicals industry, shifting product transport from road to rail, significantly cutting carbon emissions. The Dubai-based logistics operator in a statement said the new solution connects Reliance Industries' Jamnagar plant in Gujarat to DP World's inland container depot (ICD) in Ahmedabad and onward to the port of Mundra. Previously, the Mundra-Jamnagar-Mundra round trip involved approximately 700km of road transport for each container, it added. «With the new solution, the Ahmedabad-Jamnagar-Mundra route, also approximately 700km, has been converted to rail,» the statement said, adding that this transition eliminates the environmental and operational challenges associated with long-distance road transport while maintaining the same coverage.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on Friday said it has secured an order worth Rs 7,500 crore for setting up a unit of 800 MW at Ukai Supercritical Thermal Power Plant in Gujarat. The order has been placed on BHEL by Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd (GSECL), a statement said. The unit will start commercial operation within 54 months. According to the statement, BHEL has secured an order under international competitive bidding, for setting up a 1x800 MW Ukai supercritical thermal power plant (Unit-7) on an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) basis, in Tapi district, Gujarat.

He has really put Greenland on the map once again,» Knudsen-Ostermann, operator of Greenland Cruises, said, standing on the dock of an ice-packed harbour. Greenland became the focus of international attention in January when Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., arrived at the newly opened Nuuk airport. Since then, the U.S. president has doubled down on his pledge to make the Arctic island part of the United States, as he eyes its vast wealth of rare earth minerals critical for high-tech industries.

Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL), Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), and Astra Microwave Products could advance as much as 31%, ICICI Securities said, reiterating its ‘buy’ ratings on the stocks after the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) cleared capital acquisition proposals worth Rs 54,000 crore. The DGTR’s proposal, submitted to the finance ministry, suggests a 12% duty on most steel grades for 200 days, with exemptions for imports priced above $675 per tonne for hot-rolled coil (HRC), $824 per tonne for cold-rolled coil (CRC), and $964 per tonne for coated steel.
