The MSP for the 2024-25 season is in line with the principle of fixing the minimum support price at a level of at least 1.5 times all India's weighted average cost of production as announced by the government in the budget for 2018-19, an official release said.

After ten consecutive rate hikes, the central bank's key rate has remained unchanged at 4% since September 2023, up from -0.5% in June 2022.
