 India's market regulator has asked the country's asset managers to give investors more information about the risks associated with their small and mid-cap funds, according to a fund manager and two people with knowledge of the matter.

Vodafone Idea board on Tuesday, February 27, approved a fundraise plan of up to ₹20,000 crore through a combination of equity and equity-linked instruments, said the telecom, adding that promoters will also participate in the proposed equity raise. UK has announced steps to make it easier for local businesses to hire foreign workers, with the Home Office announcing a major change in the way sponsor licenses are renewed. Effective April 6, the requirement to renew licenses every four years will be abolished, offering significant relief to businesses sponsoring skilled workers from outside the UK. This development will streamline the process for employers who previously faced the administrative burden and cost associated with periodic renewals. Talking to the media here after interacting with Navy veterans, Hari Kumar said the Indian Navy has achieved great heights through indigenisation and could manufacture 33 submarines and 63 ships on its own. «Our aim is to become completely atmanirbhar by 2047, and by then all the submarines, aircraft and weapons will be made in India,» the Navy Chief said. He said 75 challenges were given to the industry and received a great response from the industry. «Some of them have already got into a contract and some products have already been inducted. A lot of innovative technology and products are being developed,» Hari Kumar said.
