Country has made up its mind that PM Modi will be at helm for third term: Amit Shah at BJP meet
Amit Shah on Sunday likened the upcoming Lok Sabha polls to the Mahabharata war, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the BJP-led camp working for the country's development while «INDI alliance» under the Congress is full of family-run parties and corruption. In his address at the BJP's national convention here, Shah lashed out at the opposition INDIA bloc for its promotion of dynastic and appeasement politics. He was speaking on the resolution «BJP: Desh ki aasha, vipaksha ki hatasha» (BJP: Country's hope, opposition's despair). He said the opposition is full of «2G, 3G and 4G» parties, a reference to the second, third and fourth generation of families running these parties.

CBIC issues revised guidelines for reporting arrest, smuggling incidents
Customs (CBIC) has revised guidelines for reporting of arrests, smuggling and commercial frauds by customs officers, as it looks to enhance risk-based targeting to nullify fraud attempts by syndicates. In an instruction to field officers, the CBIC said that the arrest and incident reports of smuggling and commercial frauds are not being shared or are sporadically shared by the customs zones. In some cases, the arrest report many times contains description/details that are insufficient as input for enhanced risk profiling. As per the revised guidelines of CBIC, the Chief Commissioner/Director Generals of a customs zone would be required to send the arrest report through email to the CBIC within 24 hours of the arrest of an individual.

Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal power India to position of strength, hosts lead by 440 runs
Shubman Gill missed out on a deserving ton by nine runs while Yashasvi Jaiswal continued from where he left on the third evening, taking India to commanding 314 for four at lunch on the fourth day of third Test against England. With overall lead stretched to 440 runs and the welcome return of Ravichandran Ashwin, who had initially withdrawn from the Test due to family medical emergency, firmed up India's grip as only one team can win the game from this point. Having recovered from back spasms which forced him off the pitch on third day evening for 104, Jaiswal resumed from where he left off to reach 149 not out off 189 balls with 11 fours and seven sixes. At the other end was debutant Sarfaraz Khan, is also going strong with his aggressive stroke-play, swatting away two fours and a six to reach 22 not out after an unfortunate run-out saw Gill dismissed for 91 during the opening session.

Is it time for a sector and portfolio churn away from four-wheelers to two-wheelers? Ashwin Patil answers
Ashwin Patil, Research Analyst-Auto, LKP, says while passenger vehicles had a great time, this year belongs to two-wheelers. So, there can be a good churning from passenger vehicles to two wheelers because the Q3 numbers were good for all the two-wheeler companies and surely one can definitely look at certain companies within the two-wheeler pack. Recently, we have been hearing reports that the passenger vehicle retail registrations have been slowing down while, of course, the rural economy is picking up and things are looking on the upside for two-wheelers. Is it time now for a bit of a sector and portfolio churn away from four-wheelers into two-wheelers? Ashwin Patil: On the back of a very low base last year, the two-wheeler industry has been performing well this year and till date, these companies are seeing about 12% to 15% growth. We believe that this industry will be definitely performing better than any other auto industries segments like passenger vehicles or commercial vehicles or tractors.
