SIP ticket size has increased by 2% on a month-on-month basis to Rs 2,387 in May from Rs 2,341 in April. HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and initiated discussions on implementing the 260-km railway line between Bengaluru and Sathyamangalam (Sathy) in Tamil Nadu. According to a map put out by the Indian Railways, the new line, as proposed earlier, branches off at Hejjala on the Mysuru-Bengaluru sector and reaches Chamarajanagar via the industrial hub of Harohalli, Kanakapura, Sathanur, Halaguru, Malavalli, Kollegal and Yelandur covering a length of 142-km. A further extension from here is needed to reach Sathyamangalam.
