IPOs Next Week: The primary market witnessed some major listings in both main board and small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) segments last month, which kept investors engaged with subscriptions and listings. Moving on, the second week of October sees strong market buzz - similarly packed with new listings and initial public offering (IPO) issues, that are available for subscription.

Dividend Stocks: Shares of several companies including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HCL Technologies, Glenmark Life Sciences, among several others will trade ex-dividend in the coming week, starting from Monday, October 16. The ex-dividend date is the day on which the equity share price adjusts to reflect the next dividend payout. It is the day the stock becomes ex-dividend, which means it does not carry the value of its next dividend payment from that day forward.

The next in line were Axis Bank (Rs 785 crore), Kotak Mahindra Bank (Rs 603 crore), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company (Rs 325 crore) and UltraTech Cement Company (Rs 325 crore). Others were, namely Bharti Airtel, Mahindra & Mahindra, NTPC, HDFC Life Insurance Company ICICI Bank, Larsen & Toubro, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises, Asian Paints, Reliance Industries and Torrent Pharma with block deals between Rs 243 crore and Rs 67 crore, shows data from Nuvama. Stock market today: Despite weak sentiments at Indian stock market, PSU stocks — REC, GAIL, Coal India, MMTC and NMDC have climbed to a new 52-week peak during Friday deals. All these PSU stocks opened with upside gap and went on to hit new 52-week high during early morning session. Out of these five PSU stocks, two stocks climbed to a new life-time peak while hitting intraday high on Friday.

Angel One shares jumped 7% to hit a new 52-week high of Rs 2,250 in Friday's trade on BSE after the firm reported a nearly 43% YoY rise in second-quarter profit at Rs 304.5 crore as against Rs 214 crore a year earlier. Its quarterly revenue grew 40.7% YoY to Rs 1,048 crore. Earnings before investment, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter under review stood at Rs 443 crore, marking a jump of 40.1% compared with the year-ago period. The company’s board also declared a second interim dividend, of Rs 12.7 per share, for the financial year 2023-24.
