markets Hollywood UPS Manufacturing Election wellness Schools Power, energy & real estate will continue to be big themes going ahead: Aniruddha Sarkar
«If I talk about the whole India story, as if it is a kind of you can say the Hollywood movie, I think the month of May was kind of a break wherein you had all sort of noise which kind of was an intermission in the whole India story which was unfolding,» says Aniruddha Sarkar, Quest Investment Advisors. Who will blink first in your view, the market or the investors. Everybody was expecting further lows, but it is not obliging the bulk of the participants, market. I would say that, obviously when you have all the noise around the election and the last couple of months, it was actually a very excellent time for the long-term investors because all the noise that gave so much good opportunity to enter into some of the good companies at such valuations which was not visible for the last six-seven months. So, having said that, I think if you look at the flow of the money of domestic investors, the answer to your question is that definitely the domestic investors have understood that on the panic days you deploy. In fact, it is very encouraging to see that on the date of the election results, the domestic fund flow was almost like massive, 22,000 crore, which was I would say was kind of a humongous number. So, having said that, I would say definitely FII money will come back.

UPS Manufacturing economy wellness social Schools rights Job creation and social spending to be key focus areas for NDA 3.0: DK Joshi
«The economy right now has buffers to offset some of the global headwinds that could take place. And from here we do see economy slowing a bit because the central bank has been raising rates and the purpose behind raising rates is to tame inflation and the route to taming inflation is via growth,» says DK Joshi, Chief Economist, CRISIL. Just wanted to get in your take as to what, according to you, have been some of the key highlights, especially when it comes to the overall GDP growth at 8.2% under her tenure and how do you see that now given that there is stability, there is continuity with Nirmala Sitharaman at the helm? Well, the economy has done much better than expected. The GDP growth from the first advance estimates till the provisional estimates got revised from 7.3% to 8.2%. It is not only the GDP, the other factors such as the sustainability of this growth, it critically hinges on the infrastructure build-out that government has carried out. One of the key factors behind growth has been investment. Consumption is relatively weak, which we expect will pick up in 2024-2025 as the monsoons become normal. So, the supply side of the economy has got focus in the last five years and that is creating an upside potential to the economy.

markets UPS FIVE Manufacturing Election wellness show FMCG and consumer durables poised for growth : Trideep Bhattacharya
«The next important signpost, of course, for the market would be the 100-day plan and of course the budget which will show us the way forward. But I think all indications are that it will be more of a continuation with the sector leadership remaining the same rather than anything materially different,» says Trideep Bhattacharya, CIO-Equities, Edelweiss MF. Market also had a very quick and sharp haircut on Tuesday, but then rebound equally sharply, barely giving anybody to deploy extra capital which was sitting on the side. I want to understand from you that the way messages from the government side of continuity and all the five most strategic and core kind of ministries were retained by BJP, so there was no compulsion of a coalition kind of politics displayed when the portfolio allocation was happening. Is market really taking heart because market up till now has really liked the work done by our external affairs ministry, finance ministry, even oil and gas for that matter, on various stuff? I would say that the results of elections this time have been sensible rather than sensational and that is the direction of a policy direction going forward as well.

markets UPS Airlines wellness reports Schools International Premiumisation & long haul two best bets for IndiGo: Jinesh Joshi
"Indigo's current international ASKM share is anywhere between 25% to 30% and with this new Airbus order, which they placed some time back, the plans are to kind of expand their wings internationally as well," says Jinesh Joshi, Prabhudas Lilladher. I would not ask you which is your favourite airline. But I would definitely tell you that I was pretty intrigued to see the latest announcement from IndiGo saying that now they are working on kind of ensuring the wanderlust of citizens, especially the Gen Z is taken care of in the form of affordable long haul. They have already announced a kind of a business class as well. So, this is a transformation of the business model which is happening. I am not even going in the direction of big orders which they have placed. So, this transformation, as they move slightly higher, affordable long haul, longer routes overseas which was up till now completely captured by overseas airlines and even business class, will it improve their yields meaningfully in the years to come? Definitely they are taking baby steps towards premiumisation.

markets UPS Airlines wellness Experts Schools rights consolidation Will market get into consolidation mode ahead of Budget? Mahantesh Sabarad answers
«Actually, within the power sector, if you look at the distribution companies, then I would say that they have been simply overvalued. Power Grid romping ahead into the overvaluation territory is clearly visible,» says Mahantesh Sabarad, Independent Market Expert. Will you use this dip as a buying opportunity on the likes of IndiGo and Honasa? Both these companies have very profitable outlook. So, generally a dip should mean that one can take a bite of these companies. But, if I look at IndiGo, you are entering the lean season right now and therefore one needs to be a little careful when it comes to the airline stock. As far as Honasa is concerned, they are in for a little tough competition ahead. So, one would rather wait out what the management would like to say post these dips, post these equity changes, etc, to really make more sense of it. As it is the overall market seems to be a little shaky right now and therefore we might have an effect on these two stocks.

markets UPS CEO Action Election wellness Schools Investors can look to bet on rural consumption and housing theme: Sunil Subramaniam
«No, we opted for slight shift, sector rotation into the consumption and like you mentioned the broader lower, the rural consumption. See, one of the things with coalitions is that you will definitely expect a little bit of more revenue expenditure to go down the thing,» says Sunil Subramaniam, MD & CEO, Sundaram Mutual. What is it that you have done in the last week? Were you a seller in Tuesday's weakness and then a buyer thereof or were you buying on Tuesday when everyone was in panic mode? Yes, we were continuous buyers. Because the panic was essentially a concern driven around the coalition dharma and how that would affect allocations the government to capex and all of those kind of worries, whether the government would indeed be strong, would the two main support partners of the NDA drift away or not.
