Manipur police have rescued a CRPF personnel who was abducted by unknown miscreants from Shantipur village of Imphal West district. A case has been registered for further investigation, Manipur police have posted on X. A senior police official, who did not want to be named, told ET that the incident took place along the national highway when the CRPF personnel was going to his village. The person has been identified as Lensat Sitlhou, son of Ngulkhomang Sitlhou, of Keithelmanbi Military Colony. The abducted jawan was reportedly brutally assaulted by the abductors, the police official said.

The court, however, discharged 15 of the total 21 co-accused in the case, finding no evidence to charge them. Of the 15 discharged, seven are Kolkata-based alleged shell companies controlled by a chartered accountant through six of his employees who were made directors in the alleged shell companies.

While the executive or managerial jobs dropped 6%, the non-managerial jobs comprising supervisors, clerks and workmen fell 25%. The drop in managerial jobs, of 27%, was most acute in the exploration and production segment. At refineries, managerial jobs expanded by 15%. Managerial jobs in the R&D divisions fell 16%.
