Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav on Monday said a 'Delhi Nyay Yatra' will be organised next month on the lines of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, to interact with the people of the city and learn about their issues and problems. The march will start on November 8 from Rajghat and conclude on December 4, ahead of the assembly elections in Delhi. During a launch event of the 'Delhi Nyay Yatra' at the Constitution Club here, Yadav said it will have four phases. «During the yatra, we will interact with the people of Delhi to learn about the issues and problems they have been facing for the last 10 years. The yatra will start on November 8 from Rajghat. It will have four phases and in the first phase, we will cover 16 assembly segments,» he said

Baramulla MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid on Monday surrendered before authorities in Tihar Jail here after the end of his interim bail, prison officials said. The Awami Ittehad Party leader, who has been arrested in a terror funding case, reached jail premises at noon after a Delhi court, which was scheduled to pass the order on his bail plea, adjourned the matter. Additional Sessions Judge Chander Jit Singh had on September 10 granted interim bail to Rashid, alias Engineer Rashid, to enable him to campaign for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections while deferring the order on his regular bail plea. Rashid's interim bail was previously extended till October 28 on the grounds of his father's poor health. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) hadn't opposed the plea after verifying the documents.

Mohan Yadav on Sunday said the BJP will win assembly polls in Maharashtra and Jharkhand just like it emerged victorious in Haryana. People's Liberation Army were arrested in Manipur's Tengnoupal district, police said on Sunday. They were held by a team of Assam Rifles from the vicinity of border pillar number 87 on Saturday and handed over to the police, an official statement said. The two have been identified as N Priyo Singh (21) and S Devjit Singh (21) and handed over to Pallel Police Station, it added. BJP on Saturday appointed Ravindra Ray as state working president of Jharkhand BJP. Ray was earlier BJP Jharkhand president and an MP from Koderma Lok Sabha.
