2024 Oscar Awards ceremony witnessed a bizarre and awkward moment when John Cena came to the stage almost naked to present the award for best costume design. It all began with host Jimmy Kimmel talking about the incident taking place at the 46th Academy Awards in 1974 when a naked man ran across the stage. He asked the audience if they could imagine a nude man running across the stage. John Cena popped up his head and said that he had changed his mind and wouldn't do the streaker bit anymore.

Kimmel at last asked John Cena to go and present the Academy Award for Best Costume Design. The award was given to 'Poor Things'(Holly Waddington). Cena walked across the stage awkwardly to the microphone with no clothes on, he held the winner’s envelope covering his frontal area.

Kimmel announced the nominees, which also included 'Barbie' (Jacqueline Durran), 'Killers of the Flower Moon' (Jacqueline West), 'Napoleon' (Janty Yates and Dave Crossman) and 'Oppenheimer' (Ellen Mirojnick).
But actually, Cena wasn’t completely nude, he was wearing a flesh-colored sling. The organizers also gave him a drape to cover up during Waddington’s acceptance speech.
The 2024 Academy Awards were held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
