pilgrimage spanning 4,500 kilometers, orchestrated by the Ram Mahotsav Yatra Samiti, mirrors the legendary expedition of Lord Ram from Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu to Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, symbolizing the culmination of his exile. Embarking from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on January 14, this ambitious journey will traverse through five states—Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh—and conclude its odyssey in Uttar Pradesh.
Apurva Singh, a member of the Ramotsav Yatra team, highlighted, «Over 500 influencers, including prominent personalities from various spheres, will actively participate in this yatra.» Malay Dixit, a key figure in the organizing committee, emphasized the significance of this event orchestrated by the All India Influencers Association.
«This journey not only educates but also celebrates the cultural legacy embodied in Lord Shri Ram's forest passage,» stated Dixit, accentuating the cultural and educational aspects of the yatra.
The timing of this yatra is notably aligned with the upcoming consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, slated for January 22. «Our yatra is a homage to Lord Shri Ram's profound journey through the forests, unveiling the essence of Indian heritage,» Dixit remarked, underscoring the spiritual and commemorative essence of the pilgrimage.
A unique facet of this voyage involves collecting soil from pivotal locations along the route to sow saplings in Ayodhya, christened as 'Ramayan'.
