Given what an industry disruptor AI has proved to be, however, it’s quite likely that this year could shape up along similar lines. Big tech companies have loaded their arsenal with AI tools and will want to unleash these in the next 12 months. Here’s a quick primer on what we can expect to see in the coming year:
Glass half full: See it with a tint of tech
Smart glasses aren’t new anymore, but the refinements expected in 2024 could make them something to watch out for. A lot of brands have already experimented with smart glasses. There’s Amazon Echo Frames with the power of Alexa, while Meta’s partnership with RayBan has been going strong too. The Ray-Bans have a 12MP camera which allows you to capture images and record videos. You can make
calls, listen to music and do more with just the glasses.
Fitness rings: One ring to monitor all
Fitness rings are the next evolution of wearable tech, having the ability to track your every step and jump,
and without the need to even have a wristband. Domestic bigwigs like Noise and Boat have already thrown their hat in the ring (pun unintended), and we could see fitness rings become a common sight in 2024.
The end of passwords?
You will probably say goodbye to your passwords this year. Google has already introduced passkeys as an
alternative to passwords, as has Apple. It is now only a matter of time before other apps, websites and services adopt them too. And about
