Netflix is growing its animated series library, which is soon going to add The Fairly OddParents' new rebooted series, to be released as The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish.
The Fairly OddParents of Nickelodeon first made its debut in 2011 running for 10 seasons till the late 2010s. Very recently, a live-action reboot was given to it on Paramount+, though it was not for long given the fact that the series was drawn in January 2023.
The news arrives through a video that was leaked, after more than a year of rumors and other leaks surrounding a reboot all through 2023. It started with certain trademark registrations attached to Paramount Global and Nickledon appearing early in the year.
In July 2023, Daran Norris, one of the original show's voice actors, was spotted by Nickalive, mentioning that a new The Fairy OddPatents project was being worked on by him. This includes the several leaks surrounding character bios and pitches.
The new series will be ditching Timmy Turner and favoring Hazel Wells, a new protagonist, who is a 10-year-old girl living in Dimmadelphia. She has recently gone to the city since her father has got a new job for her and is currently without the presence of her brother, who departed from college.
Daran Norris and Susanne Blakeslee will be recapitulating their characters as Wanda and Cosmo, who are exiting their retirement to grant Hazel her wishes. Hazel's role will be allegedly voiced by Ashleigh Crystal Hairston. The executive producers of the project will be Fred Seibert and Butch Hartman. The new project will be continuing the close ties of Netflix with Nickelodeon. A new Nickelodeon series
