Shashwat Goenka, Vice Chairman, RPSG Group, says that right from the energy business to the manufacturing business of carbon black which is now diversifying into chemicals, the retail business, the consumer business, the media or the entertainment business, across all verticals and even the BPO business, the group is going to go through a lot of transformation, a lot of growth – organic and inorganic – over the next couple of years.
What has changed in Kolkata?
Shashwat Goenka: Over the last few years, a lot has changed in Kolkata and I do not know when was the last time you came here. But if you actually just drive around, you will see the amount of infrastructure development that has taken place. And I think what has also changed over the last two years is a lot of people are now moving back to West Bengal. People originally who were from here who had moved out, a lot of them are moving back. So, that is a reflection of the transformation that we have seen in the state.
